The split-video for the DLSS 3 (page 35) is a wonderful added feature (but atm is an endless loading loop, using chrome).

Not really, TSMC 5nm class nodes are miles a ahead in efficiency compare to Samsung 8nm, and even to TSMC's N7.
Apple's M1 used a similar node and it blew Intel's previous laptop CPUs out of the water in that regard.

30 fps faster at 1440p than a 3080 ti in Elden Ring... and several other games onl 20 fps gains... I mean its cool that some of the nvidia favored games are seeing 100+ fps gains... but honestly... for $1600... ehh... I will wait for RDNA3, not impressed.

$1600 should get me more than 30 extra fps in Elden Ring vs a 3080 ti.

For a majority of gamers, the "classic" raster performance is very important though—highest settings, RT off, DLSS off—so we made sure to extensively test this scenario using 25 games at three resolutions. The GeForce RTX 4090 achieves incredible performance results here: +45% vs RTX 3090 Ti. Yup, 45% faster than last generation's flagship—this is probably the largest jump gen-over-gen for many year. Compared to RTX 3080 the uplift is 89%—wow!—almost twice as fast. Compared to AMD's flagship, the Radeon RX 6950 XT, the RTX 4090 is 64% faster. Somehow I feel that after RDNA2, Jensen said to his people "go all out, I want to conclusively beat AMD next time".

I can't stand when you guys pop off absolute nonsense like this in your reviews. This is literally the SAME performance uplift as last generation based on YOUR own review data of the 3090. Identical to the uplift from 3090 over 2080 Ti. It's absolutely unremarkable.

The 3090 was 45% faster than the 2080 Ti. The 2080 Ti was 39% faster than the 1080 Ti. The 1080 Ti was 85% faster than the 980 Ti. That's all based on YOUR data for 4k relative performance for the cards at launch.

Stop advertising for Nvidia. This is expected and unremarkable flagship performance for a generational improvement and if you start going back a few generations before Turing, it's historically sub-par. Do better.

Huh...... I was expecting this card to be way more power hungry but for the improvements over the last gen i was surprised that it didn't surpass the 3090 Ti power consumption by a lot...

Of course for $1600 ehhhh best to wait until the 4080 and the imposter 4070 reviews come out

Doesnt change the fact that this is a very BIG card, and every company has been boosting out of the efficiency curve for several generations now. It's surprising nvidia didnt crank thing thing to the moon.

May I notice that using Unigine Heaven at 1920x1080 for overclocked performance is not valid. Heaven is cpu limited in some parts of the test on much weaker cards, let alone 4090. Could you at least switch the res to 4k to minimize CPU bottleneck ? I bet the performance gained from overclocking should be closer to 10% in that case.
