Throw out the CPU limited games like Borderlands 3 and Far Cry 6, etc., and the result will be a lot more impressive. How exactly is 45% speed up "probably the largest jump gen-over-gen for many year"??
100% (3090Ti) vs 64% (2080Ti) is roughly 56% speed up.

This is my concern too. Though Ada's generational uplift is impressive, it seems like NVIDIA plans to top-load that uplift far more than they have in the past, when flagship/halo cards were typically only 10-15% faster than the more sane "high end options." This is the first time, as far as I'm aware, that the halo card uses a whole different die--not to mention the fact that now NVIDIA will have two 80-class cards using different dies too, lol.The biggest issue of this generation is that other cards despite costing an arm and a leg are castrated too much, not to mention that NVIDIA had no qualms calling RTX 4070 an RTX 4080.
It even looks like there will be no RTX 4060/4050 this gen and Nvidia will continue selling the previous generation stock.

It is pointless to compare x80 graphic cards because it is only a marketing term. You can compare flagship vs flagship card or cards with 102 chips.View attachment 265010
This chart was made by a youtuber using nVidia's claimed performance of the card: the Y axis is how much % faster the card was VS previous X80 card, so the GTX 480 was around 54% faster than the GTX 280, and so on and so forth.
@W1zzard : any chance you could do something similar to this of the X90 class of GPUs?

Enabling DLSS 3 is zero work if you have DLSS 2+Reflex, so most games just need to add Reflex, which takes a day or two

Yup, 4090 easily beat 3090 by 80-100% at 4K with RT
C'mon, you are not serious here. DLSS are implemented in so many games, especially games that needs it, AAA. DLSS3 will be implemented in every single AAA game over the next years. Nvidia has a big market share and developers need to put in their games because it's important to many gamers.

8 games over the (the overall avg) 153fps for 4k.
This card really should have come with DP 2.0 ports. The lack of these ports means this card isn't properly future proof enough.
Hope the 4080ti or/and the 4090ti come out with DP 2.0 ports when they arrive in several months time.

No because nVidia changed it: for example, the 4080 series of cards use 103 AND 104 chips apparently, so it wouldn't be an "apples to apples" comparison. It is pointless to compare x80 graphic cards because it is only a marketing term. You can compare flagship vs flagship card or cards with 102 chips.
