Nex Computer Launches NexPad: A Portable Monitor That Can Be Stacked on Top of a Laptop Screen

Nex Computer LLC announced today the launch of NexPad: a portable monitor with built-in magnets that can attach to laptops for vertical dual-screen setup. Research shows that using dual monitors boosts productivity. However, using side-by-side monitors isn't always optimal because of the large gap between the monitors, diminishing the view. The side-by-side setup also spans outside of people's peripheral vision which can lead to neck strain.

NexPad's solution is a second display at an elevated height that can reduce neck strain and help improve posture, boosting productivity and convenience. "We are launching NexPad to enable the modern professional to be more productive in the ever more mobile workplace," said Emre Kosmaz, CEO and founder of Nex Computer. "Professionals in any industry can now enjoy the additional screen space to free themselves from the traditional desk setups by embracing flexibility and efficiency offered by NexPad."




The innovative NexPad also lets you get the most out of many smartphones just by plugging them into its USB-C port. NexPad's strong magnets allow smartphones to securely mount as a secondary screen.

NexPad features a sleek aluminium body, a 12-inch full HD IPS touchscreen display with ultra-narrow bezels, built-in magnets, a kickstand with an embedded USB-C cable slot.

A product idea that nobody asked for. Just say no.

Laptops are already a bind to lug around - hence the market for ultralaptops and tablets. Luggables for those who cant afford an ultra. Gamer laptops for dorms and flat-shares. No one wants to lug extra gizmo add-ons around. So will you leave this mini-screen at home or in the office? I think a separate screen still wins over this, because, by choice, i want to dock to a BIGGER screen, not a smaller one.

I think it's and excellent idea. Double screen is almost mandatory for work, especially when you spend lots of meetings on Teams.
-As a presenter, you can keep track of the attendees on the other screen or look for other documents to share on the fly.
-As a participant, you can have the meeting presentation on 1 screen and work your emails on the other screen.

The portability of this offered solution is excellent, as you can slip that secondary screen in your laptop bag.
it makes sense. The price is a little stiff. People would be willing to pay the same price as a cheap monitor let say 150USD/EUR for this.

Big Companies could be interested, but they are not really flexible to adopt that kind of concept massively. Maybe in few years ? that would be great.

For gaming, I always wanted to add a secondary small screen, but then never found the use, as alt-tab is always an option, and I prefer the immersion of 1 screen.

Anyway globally I think it's a great product.
