Last time i checked (a few days ago) you couldn't find X3D for less than £420/430 (GBP).

Nows its £329 (almost £100 knocked off)

...about bloody time!

I trust AMD will do the same with Zen 4 chips and make way for the AM5 X3D variant... they gotto get it right the first time without launching the chip at a silly asking price. Oh and a 6-core X3D too, pls!!

In Canada, the lowest price is $430. That's about 317 USD. Until a few days ago, it had never gone below $500.

Looks like its been slashed across the board... never did like the higher premium for the 8-core X3D.... i get it people are willing to pay hence business as usual.

I get the feeling AMD's got a whole bunch of these floating about hence they're pushing to clear stock quickly before cheaper AM5 boards enter the market alongside slashed Zen 4 chips.

Yep thats Amazon...

this afternoon it was available for £329 from a couple of retailers (sold out). Currently available for ~£350 at scan and CCL. I want to see this baby slashed all the way down south of £300 lol and probably still won't buy it until its too late (low inventories = higher prices)

Yeah, about 100EUR drop in Finland as well. I may get one as it's about ~400EUR now. I was going to get a 5700X, but this seems to be reasonable for a CPU which lasts for years.

Here went from 439 euro to 379 euro. Zen 3D is looking better and better with these overpriced new cpu's, mobo's and ddr5. Not to mention the high power consumption and temps.

im in the same boat... got x2 spare B450's laying about in addition to my current gaming driver (Intels 9700K). Not feeling either RPL/Zen4 based on various factors (incl. efficiency and although potentially safe but those highhhh temps). Gonna give the market a little more time to polish up towards the end of ~2022 and then make a decision. I have to admit the cost-effective 5800X3D is a strong contender and at these current prices definitely getting more tempting.

The temps can easily be fixed, although AMD should have done it better from the beginning. The 5800X3D is hard to beat tho.

As for efficiency, I dunno, the 7700X is better in that regard than the 5800X and worse than the 5700X and the 5800X3D,
while the 7600X takes the top spot in games among X models.

I don't know if they will fall that low for a mere six-core, but the 16-core, 12-core, 10-core and the 8-core definitely do need some gaming performance boost.

As far as I know, this Ryzen 7 5800X3D is still AMD's fastest gaming offer now.

Indeed it is, but I wonder at which point it doesn't make sense over a 5600 (€140), based on what GPU you pair it with. Still haven't seen any 5800X3D tests with midrange cards.
