A site that says a 750W PSU is OK with a 4090..... :kookoo:
And it's true. I had my 3090 with 520w custom bios on a 850w psu, peak spikes were at around 740-760w. Again, that's with a card pulling 520 watts.

Sure, I wouldn't use a 750w psu with a 4090 - not because it wouldnt work - but because it would be working at 80%+load all the time

Yeah, a good 850W is fine, even 750W might be OK, is it ideal, no, but nothing about a 4090 is ideal... If it was ideal it would have a 450W power limit from the factory on all of them and use three 8-pin PCI-E power connectors directly on the card.

As far as I know - even 3090 is anything to go by, you can put any bios you want to it. I had my 3090 on a kingpin evga bios on my palit 3090 gamerock oc. Thing is, this time around wattage doesnt seem to do much, the 450w stock is already overkill. Still waiting for my 4090 gaming to test, but I don't think ill be changing bioses

Why flash BIOS instead of increasing your power limit in an app like Afterburner?

Apparently nvidia didnt want to go into that "ton of 8pin connectors, the card is running on nuclear power" stereotype, so instead they opted for that stupid 12 pin cuadruple dongle. No surprise the connector experiences burnout, the thickness of the pins (+ the extra resistance from all the physical connection), leads to burnout

Corsair recommend 850w for all 40 series GFX cards. Personally, I would not go against their recommendation, but if I own such a card, I would go for 1000w minimum (personal preference).

I guess my question would be, is it not fast enough? What I mean is, what is the point? Are you chasing benchmarks, or genuinely have a purpose for needing the increased power?

I'm itching for 4090 to put a waterblock on and tune for power efficiency, but can't imagine it not being powerful enough out of the box.

It has dual bios
Wouldn't stop me backing up the one I'm replacing.

Some cards have had different profiles on that switch too.

I also have Palit 4090 OC GameRock and I get it with cable 4x 8pin to the gc to one 10 pin I think (all 4 connected ) ..... with Bios 95.02.18.00.AC to 500w (I get it 12 October) gc for some time I also have in my computer 1200watt power supply ... Mostly I use it for my SimRacing simulator.... Samsung Neo 49 + Pimax 8K X ... and because of Pimax 8K X I need more power .... to get out max... soo to 600w

So If I have understant correctly there is new bios from offical Palit which solve some problems.... ???

Also can I use Bios from Asus strix OC which support 600w on my Palit 4090OC Gamerock card.... and can I do roll back then to original Palit Bios.... also is possible to do backup of existing bios before I will flash...

please for help with your good advices before I will do something stupid )how to flash how to do bios backup .. vhere do I get latest flash
