A mech. KB should last for a long period of time unless it's abused. Some of mine are near or a little over a decade old. I think the price for this KB is outrageous but I presume it will last; it certainly should for $700.

You clearly haven't indulged in watching "gamer rage" videos on youtube, then. Watching these grown ass man-children fly into a tantrum - a lot of whom actually end up breaking their keyboards, mice, etc. -- whenever they get killed in the game they're playing is both hilarious but also....slightly disturbing. And the poor keyboards

I did, it’s just not in the same ballpark as most ergo keyboards, which are mechanical, typically more expensive, and aren’t bundled with a mouse and numpad.

In my post, I stated I wanted a 10 key ergo gaming keyboard. You stated they are anti-ergo and I'm looking for the wrong product. However, the Microsoft solution would fix the issue with the detachable 10 key. I don't need them to be one unit as that really doesn't matter as long as its there when I need it. You and I agree when it comes to the numpad not being included, but they should be included. Once someone makes that keyboard combo, its bought day one. Anywho, I would really like if the Kinesis Freestyle makes an updated version that has a separate numpad. a
