ASUS, a global technology leader renowned for continuously reimagining today's technologies for tomorrow, today announced ExpertBook B6 Flip (B6602F)—the first Expert-series flippable mobile workstation.

This high-performance mobile workstation with its versatile 360° hinge is designed specifically to help architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) companies running industry-leading software solutions like 3ds Max, MicroStation, and Vectorworks. With immense power packed in a slim and flippable form, ExpertBook B6 Flip handles complex workloads seamlessly across AEC disciplines. It helps users bring design concepts to life through BIM software like ArchiCAD, effortlessly transition from 2D sketches to 3D modelling and printing via tools like Creo and Solidworks, and handle data-intensive applications for deeper insights and better decision-making—delivering the edge that AEC companies need in today's competitive market.

Committed to creating a sustainable future, ASUS adopts environmental friendly materials at all stages of their product lifecycles. ExpertBook B6 Flip has environmentally-friendly packaging, with FSC certification for all paper materials.

Massive computing power: Intel Core i9, 128 GB RAM and 4 TB of ultra-fast M.2 storage
ExpertBook B6 Flip maxes out computing power with the latest up to 12th Gen Intel Core i9 HX processor, NVIDIA RTX A2000 professional graphics, support for up to 128 GB of dual-channel DDR5 4800 MHz memory, and up to 4 TB of ultra-fast M.2 storage—delivering the ultimate performance for 3D design, machine learning and more.

The architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is projected to grow at a rapid pace, but projects in this field can be both complex to manage and execute. Over half of AEC leaders also see the attracting and retaining top talent as a key challenge.

McKinsey reckons technology is the answer. Both the Construction 4.0 and Industry 4.0 concepts are manifestations of this—seeing the rapid development of digital technologies to boost decision-making, streamline management, and improve the quality of work in AEC. These advancements are projected to lead to US$950 million in cost savings in the global AEC industry in 2025—but first, leaders need to be able to determine the promising digital tools that are worth investment. That's where a powerful device like ExpertBook B6 Flip makes its entrance.

Keeping a powerhouse like ExpertBook B6 Flip cool is vital for top performance, but unwanted noise is the enemy of creativity. We've optimized cooling system to let the mighty Intel CPU run comfortably at a blistering 135 watts total TDP (55 W CPU and 80 W GPU) in Performance mode—with no throttling. Also, with NVIDIA Max-P Dynamic Boost's support, power users can push performance even further. This remarkable feat of engineering uses dual 98-blade fans, with three heat pipes and seven intelligent sensors to ensure optimum cooling performance, while keeping everything quiet—under 40 dBA in Standard mode—so users can concentrate on the task at hand without distractions.

ExpertBook B6 Flip is also incredibly versatile, featuring a flippable 16-inch display with up to 500-nits brightness, enabling the flexibility to work anywhere, and in any way, amplifying the productivity of creators, designers, engineers and other professionals in the era of hybrid work.

Additionally, a business laptop needs maximum connectivity options to handle all workloads. ExpertBook B6 Flip offers a comprehensive set of ports for easy data transfers and versatile peripheral connections. This includes a built-in smart card reader for use as secondary ID check for enhanced security, and a microSD slot makes it easy for creators to shoot, edit, and process massive images and videos anywhere. It also boasts two ultra-versatile Thunderbolt 4 ports with DisplayPort 1.4, along with two USB 3.2 Type-A ports and a pro-grade 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port.

Professional crafts, elevated: Real-time ray tracing, extreme processing power and smart AI
ExpertBook B6 Flip is engineered with professional-grade NVIDIA RTX A2000 graphics that leverages the NVIDIA Ampere architecture to help users elevate their craft—whether creating short online videos or full-length features, generating animations or 3D models, or exploring graphic design. Ampere features new ray tracing and Tensor cores with support for sparsity, DLSS 2.0 AI super-resolution technology and streaming multiprocessors that deliver massively improved performance. This remarkable GPU offers the most realistic ray-traced graphics, cutting-edge new features and harnesses the power of AI.

Made for AEC: ISV-certified for pro applications, plus innovative touchscreen with stylus
For creatives, software is key. That's why ASUS tests and invests in comprehensive certification processes with independent software vendors (ISVs)—ensuring ExpertBook B6 Flip works as expected with professional applications from the world's leading software companies. ExpertBook Flip B6 is also available with an optional MPP 2.0-compatible ASUS stylus that supports up to 4096 pressure levels, allowing users to write, draw and annotate in any supported applications.

  • Architecture, engineering and construction
Planning, designing and constructing structures involves art, beauty, science, technology and teamwork. ExpertBook B6 Flip allows professionals across AEC industries to concentrate on bringing concepts to life with BIM software, using tools such as Revit, 3dsMax and Maya
  • Product design and manufacturing
Whether creating cars, gadgets or furniture, the design process often starts with a 2D sketch before moving on to 3D modeling and 3D printing. ExpertBook B6 Flip effortlessly runs tools like Creo, SolidWorks or Microstation, making modeling and rendering more efficient and optimizing the product design pipeline.
  • Creative and media
Today's complex workflows for recording, editing, post-production work, rendering and transcoding demand resource-hungry tools like Adobe Premiere. The unrivaled power of ExpertBook B6 Flip will do the heavy lifting, enabling professionals to meet deadlines without compromising their creative vision.

Business-grade security: Intel vPro, Windows 11 Pro, TPM 2.0, TCG Opal and more
AEC industries can be particularly vulnerable to security breaches, due to the large amount of highly confidential data they handle and the massive volume of information they exchange both internally and externally. Top-notch digital security is vital to AEC industries to protect both their intellectual property and sensitive financial data, and once again, this is an area in which ExpertBook B6 Flip excels.

Powered by the Intel vPro Essentials or Enterprise platforms and Windows 11 Pro, this powerhouse workstation enables higher productivity, informed and faster decision-making, and accelerated product development. In particular, ExpertBook B6 Flip has multi-layered security—making it ideal for use in financial and government settings. This includes support for self-encrypting TCG Opal SSD drives to prevent unauthorized data access to the data, plus a discrete TPM 2.0 chip to securely store authentication information such as passwords or encryption keys. It also has a smart card reader to enable easy two-factor authentication, with a password and recognized card required for login—plus an IR camera for easy face login with Windows Hello.

Heat has to go somewhere, I'd like to see the thermal imaging for this when running flat chat. Will need big air ducts on the side and back (not underneath hopefully) to keep up with the heat generated. If they can pull it off, sounds good. But still I don't want Alder Lake in my laptop, if they do an AMD Phoenix version which might also be getting v-cache then I'm even more interested, otherwise best to wait for Meteor Lake. ML HX series will have massive IPC gains and run much less power.
