The Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 with 1000W max power is ATX v3.0 and PCIe 5.0 ready and offers good performance for its $200 price point. It has high build quality and excellent voltage regulation. Thanks to a fully modular design that PSU will be a breeze to install, and the 10-year warranty will give you peace of mind for a long time.

Full power up to only 40 °C is not impressive at all, especially given the fan profile. Methinks CWT needs to tweak this design a bit more.

"Cables and Connectors" page needs to be amended: "4-pin Molex (500 mm+150 mm+150 mm+150 mm)" should note that there's a hardwired FDD connector too, as per the second-last picture of said cable on said page.

No, I don't know what TT is doing shipping FDD connectors on a PSU anno 2022, nor why they felt the need to ship 2, nor why one of those is on an adapter while the other isn't.

You should know that there are many users still using floppy drives in Japan. It's hard to believe, but it's true. Compromises made to accommodate these users.

Thanks for the review. I recently bought this PSU to replace my ageing Corsair HX750 CMPSU-750HX 750W PSU. First thing I noticed (besides it being fully modular) is how much quieter it is than my old PSU, even at high loads. Really impressed by it.

Since I had early samples, I am not sure if they will keep the native FDD which is weird indeed.
