Drop has been the source for many custom keycap sets, especially those using officially licensed IP. Today we examine an homage to PC cooling brand Noctua with an extensive keycap set designed by MiTo and using Drop's exclusive MT3 keycap profile. It's part of a product line comprising multiple keycap kits as well as matching keyboard cable and desk pads too.

That color scheme somehow looks better on a Kb than on the fans, but it's still fugggily AF IMHO...

Pair it with a low profile keyboard, it will work better then for you.
I'm fine with my cherry profile caps.

Are those optimized for airflow or static pressure?

It's become identifiable with the brand at this point.
Except for they use black for their industrial seriees, so mostly a moot point.

There is, or at least was, a planned Chromax set of keycaps in the making for those who prefer that color scheme.

Well, Germans are known for liking some schizer!
Looks neat, but no thanks to SA tall skyscrapper wobble caps.
They are MT3 which for some is worse. I have a set /dev//tty and haven't had any issues with them. It's also about the base and the switches. Don't like them for gaming though.

Those cables have been all the rage for a while now. The materials aren't cheap and they aren't cheap to make. I won't argue that it isn't silly in ways even if kinda fun. But it's not silly because of the cost at all. It's not just the aviator connector either. It's silly because gold connectors, sleeving, shrink wrap are all silly for stuff like USB keyboards and mice to start with. These cables are just adding more overkill to it but rather than pretending it does something it's just "because it's cool damn it" which is at least honest.

I might have to get me this keyboard in Noctua yuck beige and brown just for the perversity of it lol.

My Noctua NH-D14 is 11 years old now and going strong, but my poor eyes have had to look at those beige and brown fans the whole time. Pity me!

If it helps, I think the colors look better on a keyboard than on the fans.

Thank you for the review! Just wanted to point out that the note about dye sublimation would not be applicable to this set. It’s double-shot ABS with no dye sublimation—all the symbols are made of plastic injected through other color plastic.
”The legends/designs are dye-sublimed on to where these are fully opaque and yet long lasting, owing to the legends not wearing out anytime soon.”

Indeed, it's doubleshot ABS! Thanks for pointing it out, I'll update the article accordingly.

So is it true? You can melt noctua fans into key caps?
Thank you @VSG for another great review...and pun at the end! :)
