Last time when i heard and used KTC monitors was about 20 years ago... i even forgot this company ever existed). Their products are really on the budget side but somehow fully functional and decent quality

Can a simple new information be added to each new monitor review?

When i go from a game, to a movie, to text, i use very different monitor settings.
So i like to have a few keyboard shortcuts that instantly send custom brightness, contrast, rgb etc values to the monitor. No need to fiddle with the osd menu on the monitor.

Indeed, the panel was released almost three years ago. Many entry-level Chinese monitors use this panel, and some of the cheaper monitors use panels that are not as good.

Looking at the response time table it looks like a VA panel. I guess they can't set OD properly.

Indeed, the panel was released almost three years ago. Many entry-level Chinese monitors use this panel, and some of the cheaper monitors use panels that are not as good.

I'm confused on that - it would seem to be that panel be based on "AUO 8.2" in the marketing, but the M270DAN08.2 is a quantum dot display and claims 100% Adobe RGB coverage. This video on YouTube found the KTC to have 80.4% Adobe RGB coverage.

Are they artificially hardware limiting the color gamut? Can't see a good reason to do that. In that video he claims that the MSI G273QF/G273QPF use the same panel, but MSI doesn't advertise that monitor as quantum dot either? Rtings found that monitor to have 84% Adobe RGB coverage.

I went through all (195) 27" AUO panels on panelook and the only other "8.2" is the "M270DTN08.2" but that isn't in production anymore and was 240 Hz.

I think the spec sheet is wrong. I can't see that panel being 100% adobe rgb.

If you want a less gamery version of this monitor, but with an integrated USB hub, buy the Xiaomi Mi 2K gaming monitor 27. Same panel specs, different back (no LEDs), integrated PSU, same stand design but straight. Very happy about it!
