Shame with almost every reviewer, they dont show enough comparison data, they compare to say 7950X but no one is going from a 7950X to 13900K but dont show older gen cpus going back 4-5 years.

Really curious how old and dated my 9900k is now but hard to find it comparison to 13900k.
I wanted to compare performance to my previous 9900ks and extrapolated the performance from the i7 10700k which has probably the most similar performance. The i7 10700k does come up in more comparisons.

I lament the “death” of Anandtech mostly because of this. They had a nice little tool that would let compare the results with their previous and you could use that as reference, as you stated.

Its not bad but only goes far back as core 10th gen. Also more interested in CPU bound stuff than gaming performance which is often GPU bottlenecked.

Here you go- 6th gen up to 13th.
It`s content creation orianted, but give a good glance at the general advencment.
Indeed, thats perfect thank you.

Hi,
Yep them voodoo threads really kicked didn't they

10 series just added 2 more cores from 9900k and resizable bar so hardly worth jumping on 11 either for single core boost with another 8 core.
12 & 13 though is all about how much you want to spend.

I did 10 series because x99 and x299 are shit compared to even 10 series at gaming.

Video reviews are a massive fail to begin with. You can't check anything. You're watching a piece of entertainment.

And let's not even mention the comment section compared to a regular website with one, or a forum behind it. These are completely different worlds. One is for the gullible fools, the other for real info.

The first group is lazy and wants to watch TV 'while learning something', the last group is ready to make an effort to understand what's going on. That on its own defines everything.

KS why? I would power limit either the 13900K or 13700K anyway or just get the non K versions. 7900 could be nice, but so want tosee what the vcache models bring to non-gaming workloads like simulation software, Matalb etc.

The 10700K performs roughly the same as the 9900K as it has similar clock speeds and the same core/thread config.
If a chart has the 10700K but not a 9900K just use the 10700K as your point of reference because they are within 1% of each other in 99% of scenarios.

Good for these chilly winter days. I'm more surprised how much difference is there between K and non-K version in all kinds of clocks, I guess non-K will last that much longer or somesuch. :shadedshu:

It has also infected TPU as there are plenty of "new" members ready to dispute with the owner of a product what it's narrated flaws are. As an example on TPU today they talked about Threadripper 7000 and described 64 PCIe lanes of 5.0 as narrow. It is not their fault though as there is a portion of the online media that is pumping out so much propaganda that it is insane when you think about it.

Ryzen's success was partly based on Social media giving it their blessing. Nvidia's dominance is also partly due to that as evidenced by the way they treated Hardware Unboxed when Steve took a vacation. Now you will see plenty of posts talking about Ryzen 7 being worthless and weak or describing the 7900 series as weak or not worth the money because it doesn't support dumd ass Ray tracing as well as the 4090 and is only as fast as a 3090 and 3090TI in some scenarios. What? Is there any card other than the 4090 that is faster at Ray Tracing than the 7900XTX? 3080, 2080TI, 3070, 3060TI.....Now that they also support AV1 encoding I watched PC world lament that the card was only as fast as a 3090. Again, What? After the 3090 was just the balls to the walls ultimate.

It's ok though as there are plenty of 4080s in every PC store I have been in and the 7900XT is readily available too. Sardonically this is also in part due to Social Media's influence on Greater Society. Lain Li 011 anyone? In a world where SSD NAND did not have the bandwidth to separate NAND performance how did Samsung become what it is today? Why were Seagate Drives cheaper than WD about 10 years ago?

The best for me though as I am an AMD user is that they pumped the Asus B550- F Strix board as being a great value. The thing about that board is it had no WIFI and all of the PCie slots other than the first one shared lanes (not in a smart way either). That meant that if you put anything in any of the slots it would disable all the rest of the slots on the board. All of this is while MSI budget X570 boards were being vilified for having VRMs that only supported 300 watts? That made them cheaper than most B550 boards and a much better value but you can't say that because unless you have a fan blowing air into the case it will get hot. What? There is so much, like how Nvidia never seems to have driver issues while AMD is a bug filled unrewarding experience. What is crazy though is that, even though the cards are blowing up, no one is referencing that in light of the 7900XTX, bullet points don't count. The 13900KS is on a dead platform but that won't get mentioned either.
