Hi. I have 4 GB OCZ Reaper DDR2 PC2 8500 5-5-5 @2.2.v RAM memory and need to buy another 4 GB to have 8 GB. I found almost identical RAM memory but they are 2.1v instead of 2.2v, does it matter?

The photos come from the internet but this is the exact model of RAM I have.

If the timings match you should be gtg. The slight voltage bump should get the new set going. Worst case, you can try dropping your reapers voltage to match. What are the new modules your looking at?

Those reapers are badass modules. My heart skipped a beat when I saw that picture. I had a set back in the day that oced like beasts. They crushed all of my D9 kits. 9000+ with an EVGA 780i, q6700 and sli 8800gtx. I wish I hadn't sold that rig.
GL!

Wow that kit brings back memories. The heatsinks make great installation handles.

Honestly they are my favourite DIMMs specifically because of their looks. Impractical, dumb and useless.

I found these, I look at auction portals in my country, I know that there are 2.2v on ebay, but I would rather buy such modules in my country. The ones in the photo below are 2.1v

The only thing I can give them credit for is they are using real heatpipe which does cost a bit to make. Not common even today.

Those should be fine, the voltage difference likely won't matter. The ics may even be the same. Have fun man! Especially if you're planning on doing a bit of ocing.

I've been wracking my brain trying to remember what ics those reapers use. All that comes to mind is Promos...they were the first 2gb modules I tried. You'd think I could remember :(
I remember having 4 in my Q6600. it was amazing.
Daaamn, you lucky dawg! They were esspensive as fug! And once word got out, poof, they vanished.
I had more ocing fun with ye olde 780i rig and those reapers than any other before or since. It was an incredible platform. 550+ fsb (hard wall at 559), quadcore 24/7 oc, blew some minds back when dualcores were having a hard time hitting 500fsb with 780i. Funny how memories come rushing back ;)

Present day ddr5 pricing reminds of those days when those whoppin big 2gb moules hit the market. Everyone freaked out at how expensive they were! But it didn't take long before we were all rockin a set hahaha.
Sorry for the off topic OP.
