Strange.... Did we forget industrial spying... Why dont we realized that "fortunatelly" different comapnies put simmilar new things onto the market at very simmilar times... It is not accidentally random. Spying or cartelling.
And nothing new about that... just check history. Who stolen gunpowder technology from who? And who used for their own geopolitical power?
And do you think just because we are in the western world ruled by laws chnaged anything?
Did you know that many times political power create a law because powerfull financial/industrial actors need that, so the law for the them and they regulated by laws. The regulated the law by pressure and with good background connections/relationships.
So judging the situation by right and law because because of steal or copy it is quite funny and scratching the surface.

There are some variations in the possible sounding but you can get those to mean something in Mandarin and some other dialects. Nothing too fancy, though.
