Which Speed for 64 gigs of ram? AMD

I can test 4800 MHz vs 6000 MHz, but I usually can't tell the difference between 50 and 60 FPS, so I might not be the best person for the job.

Remind me in Feb please. I have until 29th to pre-test several CPUs and GPUs for review embargo first days of Jan, then I go on holiday until Jan 6, then back for a few days of work, then holiday Jan 12 - 16, then 2nd bday of my baby girl. Until Feb I'll also have to setup a new Windows 11-based 13900K GPU testing rig with new games and retest all cards, and new SSD test rig with 4070 Ti and retest all SSDs

The same scenario plays out here. When your GPU BOUND, the average frame rate will be the same.

Edit: I should clarify it's more to do with the limitations of the CPU IMC, but often motherboards that have tested so far (even the expensive ones) struggle with anything above 6000 and that goes for single rank as well.

I buy a new pc with 2*32 6400MHz and work as well

Motherboard supporting it and the CPU being able to run it is two different things.

This will come in handy on future AM5 CPUs if they have a better IMC, but the 7000 series CPUs currently available will not hit those speeds on 4 dual rank DIMMs even though the boards may support it.

edit: forgot this was discussion on 64 GB topic as oppsoed to 128 GB topic... Yeah some 7000 series CPUs will be able to support more than 6000 mt/s on two DIMMs but there's no guarantee with the silicone lottery.

That's not the same as "works out of the box without user tweaking" because they're all "OC" supported

I got 7600X but I think to upgrade to 7800X3D or 8800X in future
