What are your thoughts on this ?
It seems very strange that a driver could do that and why are so many people trying to repair their cards instead of RMA ?
Haha rip my card i guess its having gpu core crack cos AMD is pushing it beyond limits
Im having all these driver issues as well
Easy to reproduce blackscreens especially when resizing steam on older drivers or whatsapp video call the later one if not seen ayone else reproduce but im 100% sure i could reproduce this on every single AMD gpu if some one send me 10 rx 6000 series cards no problem so i know this is a driver issue already, not to mention that the proof is already in being able to produce a blackscreen using steam and resizingit on the point shop with older drivers cos it flickers like crazy.
Damn i wish i bought a evga gpu instead they can mess up and put a ticking timebomb in my PC and i would still trust them cos of their amazing customer support and warranty not that i want a ticking timebomb in my PC just cos i know they do the right thing.
AMD on the other hand trying to void warranty for removing their cooler trying to fix their problems or any overclocking even tho i put a waterblock on my 6900 XT and never overclocked it for 24/7 use.
Not to mention max core frequency limits are ignored
On default profile firing up doom eternal max core clocks 2555mhz
on auto oc it sets target about same as max core clocks
on custom gpu tuning it suggest 2479 mhz so if i set this on 2479 mhz it still boost to 2555mhz firing up doom eternal.
Then i set 2478 mhz instead fire up doom eternal and it only boost to 2463 mhz i seriously get the idea that AMD has no fucking clue on how to do proper drivers
Especially considering if been having issues for months now, it became a lot better but not stable sometimes i blackscreen randomly or while alt tabbing 5 times a day either due notification or alt tabbing.
Meanwhile on Manjaro linux im fully stable
And can even run heaven for 24 hours straight then superposition for another 8 hours and port royal for another 8 hours.
Maybe i should send my gpu over for investigation to this guy but im not really in the mood to take this out and re assemble it with stock cooler especially considering the fact that these vaporchambers might have a fatal flaw maybe where it thermally expands perhaps and then cracks the die maybe or something else.
Not to mention that AMD is giving zero warranty cos of warranty void stickers and them trying to ask every chance they get if you are overclocking the card even tho my last 2 cards both heavily overclocked and watercooled for 5 and 6 years are still alive.
Anyway no way i want to be without gpu hopefully in 1 and half month i have enough for rtx 4080 with waterblock preinstalled cos im sure not trusting AMD right now, i wonder how the custom cards will do tho.
Its so awkward to hate both AMD Intel and Nvidia right now, i wish AMD was like EVGA and just contacted me asked my details send me new card that i could put in right away as replacement and then send my old card as it is to them for investigation whats wrong with it, preferably again with waterblock pre installed seriously im tired of disassembling and reassembling stuff, if damaged my gtx 480 like this had a cap fall off but EVGA had no problem fixing it even tho i told them it was user damage.
Meh i hate AMD wish they just decided to do the right thing, im just glad i am not alone with all other issues if been having.
Like world of warcraft freezing the system, with 20+ reports from mostly AMD systems and 3 Nvidia systems.
Hopefully AMD releases a new driver really soon fixing all these issues before it becomes bigger problem, i probably keep money on reserve for future gpu replacement if they manage to fix this mess before i decide to upgrade again.
Damn my chest hurts....
