It's pretty much completely done, I'll do some cable management in a few days. Everything worked first try which is very nice! I'm a non-RGB person and to be honest, would rather have a steel case. Runs anything perfectly, even KSP which is horribly unoptimized. Going to do some BIOs changes soon to tune and limit power draw. Make sure you have a fire extinguisher handy with this.

Got my kids pc swapped out to my old Meshify C. Massive difference in thermals compared to the Define R4 that it was in before

The last time I tried this swap the system wouldn’t even try to power up. Could not figure it out so I put it back in the define. The only difference between now and then was the last time I was trying with my EVGA, this time I have my Seasonic in there.

Yearly maintenance done
Flushed out old mayhems X1 clear fluid only good for 1 year and added new mayhems XT-1 clear supposed to be good for 4-5 years boy that would be good to knock my choirs down a little bit

Also removed the second D5 top pump and swapped out old pos ek reservoir-pump combo for my alphacool combo so much better
This one has vario D5 which has a speed screw so no more pwm to mess with

Added my optimus foundation cpu block instead of sigV2 it looks nicer with the copper vrm water block plus I love plexi blocks
Rearranged the soft tubing a little shortened some runs/.... which took a little of the octopus look out

Old ek 1080ti water blocks nickel plating looking pretty good since I took out the jet plate

Yeah those are the top fan covers from a Define R4. That case has heavy damped panels..

No more cpu water block narrowed down to just a 280mm AIO without the crapware
I will swap the taller reservoir-pump combo from x299 because this is the pos that leaks if completely sealed.

Same deal ... new xt-1 clear fluid on the titanXp copper water block no image of it I forgot but looks like copper hehe
Black D15 and I removed the second floor that covered the top radiator and I swear there's a cpu and memory back there
Anyway good times but back to a conventional case, how boring still has some octopus in there damn D450 midtower

Played a bit of tweaking with my Sapphire Nitro+ 5700XT. Used Radeon app and Unigine Heaven. Started with 1.0V, and worked from there, just to simplify things a bit. Found a stable clock with that voltage, then moved to memory. There was an unstable hole somewhere around 1830-1840MHz, but jumping to 1850 was fine. My settings in R app:

The result. Maximum values while playing Warzone 2.0, which are the same as the average & current ones anyway (the game maxes out my PC performance with ease, that's why I'm using it as a template):

I know it could do better, yet I'm happy as it is for now. Further lowering the voltage makes this card even more efficient, but I want it to stay at 1900MHz. The ambient temp was above 25 Celsius BTW. Overclocking past 2GHz is easy as well, but with a price of noticeably higher noise and 170W+ thanks to higher voltage. For example, the difference with 2030MHz and this (1900) is around 5-10FPS in Warzone 2.0, and it already is between 100-130 most of the time (almost everything on ultra), so...
Just wanted to share, as it's not a content for its own thread. RDNA love to all. Cheers.

After being reminded how nice a silent PC could be after installing the PNY, I thought I'd try replacing the two NF-A15's on the CPU cooler with what's in the rest of my case (Silent Wings 3's).

Having all the same fans now set to a static speed seems to be working just fine and also is almost impossible to hear. Probably also helps that they have the same sound signature.

It also gave me an excuse to give the inside a good cleaning, and re-paste with SYY-157.

Nice rig. Im running the same case. You say those fans are silent. How's the cooling performance? I have all Noctua Redux and they all run at 12v. Its noisy, but doesn't really bother me. My CM sub zero pump is just as loud and the coil whine from my power supply takes the cake while gaming.

Thanks. Maybe silent might be a slight overstatement. I just used the Decibel X app on my phone. In a completely quiet house sitting at the PC it reads 36 dB. Once the PC is on with all 8 fans running at 100% (1000 rpm), it reads 39 dB.

Cooling seems to be good. At full load I see about 80c on the CPU. It might have been 2c lower with the two noctua's ramping up to 1500 rpm under full load, but they made a lot more racket. They also had a different sound from the be quiets. The GPU runs full load in the mid 60's with the fan curve at stock. It's quieter than the case/cpu fans. I can really see the advantage of using the cooler from the 4090 on the 4080. It's big but I'll take that over the noise any day.

I really think you should be proactive and measure/cut something like a pencil (that is what I did) to support the end of that gpu from future sag. it will sag I promise you that. in fact mine already was within a week, I didn't know it until I did the pencil thing. Cards are just so giant these days its wild.

Hahaha! I had read your previous post when you used the pencil and have been considering doing exactly that. My previous GPU support is too long and all the others I've found on Amazon are too short. I just don't have a pencil here in the house to use. I'll check at the grocery store tomorrow. (it needs to be black tho....)

you should be able to find a black pencil, or buy a tiny bit of paint and make a little project out of it.

I would avoid the brackets, my MSI came with a anti-sag bracket, BUT IT DOESN'T DO SHIT it only props up the front and middle bits, but I put my pencil at the end and it still LIFTED it just a bit. i got rid of the bracket it came with and just use the pencil now, its much better imo. there needs to be something physical at the end of the card, and only a couple of brackets do that. if you can find one of those then I guess sure

Be careful with small supports that take all the weight on a single point, and only propping up the end of the card. Especially on cards with short PCBs but massive coolers (flow-through) without much structural rigidity, depending on where exactly you choose to support the card it can introduce more bends to the PCB than you initially intended (and right where it matters, around the core/VRAM area).

In the Cerb what I did in the end was gently loop a ziptie through the end of the card (as it was close to the front of the case) to pull it up a bit, then use my L-shaped support to support the middle of the card.

Cards like the 2060 Super FE and now the 7900XT MBA have spoiled me. These cards have such ridiculous ridigity that they are quite literally impossible to bend even if you tried. The 2060 Super actually came with a slight negative sag that never changed in the 3+ years I've had it.

I have the EZDIYFAB support sitting on my desk so I did some measurements. Completely retracted it's still about the height of two PCIe slots. Fully extended it reaches about 4.3". Eyeballing it seems like it might fit your case easily
