Hi, I'm finally upgrading from my current build (i5 3450, 8GB DDR3 1200, HD7850). It still works fine, but I feel it's time for an update.
Budget: 2200€
Purpose: Office work, internet browsing, video recording/encoding/editing (not streaming), occasional gaming and emulator use.
Already have: 1080p 144Hz monitor, kb, mouse.
Overclock? only memory XMP profiles, not CPU

Initially I was dead set on a 6800XT, but due to local pricing a mere 80€ extra will get me a 6950XT. I know it's overkill for my gaming habits, but if I got a 6650XT instead, then a 13600K or a 7600 cpu might have been overkill for that GPU (and some games might become cpu bound if this benchmark video is anything to go by).
Will wait for the 7800x3D to come out to see if it's any good (or if at least lowers non x cpu prices, in case x3D ones go for some outrageous MSRP).
Initially thought about using DDR4, but between mobo and memory, it's just a 100€ price difference, so I'll lean towards D5 (even if I feel it's gimmicky and not a big impact for the average user in everyday use cases outside niche workflows and benchmarks).
Also, I don't care about upgradeability, as you can see by current setup, I'm ride or die with my builds, I'll stick with this for a decade and then buy a new one altogether.
Any tips or suggestions? Parts that stand out and should be changed? (not too wild about spending even more for GPUs, but any other parts are fair play)
Thanks!
