Hello,

Does anyone have an Idea if newer nvidia cards would have issues in a Dell T620?
You'll be fine. That system has 6 PCIe 3.0 slots.
in gpuz the P2000 only shows x8@3.0. it should be x16@3.0 I also did put load with using the render test and furmark.
Maybe it's in the wrong PCIe slot? That system has 4 16x slots at 16x lanes and 2 8x slots with 8x lanes. You should be mounting the card in a 16x 16lane slot.

I have it in slot 4 which is recommended order in the technical manual, and tried it in slot 5 and 7. Its really weird. And no other cards in any of the slots.

System says it can do "Intel Integrated PCI Express 3.0 provides up to 40 lanes per socket"

Its also not showing x16 @3.0 on my X9DRi-LN4F+ Supermicro board.

Card is single slot and doesnt have a plug on it. Both boards say they can do 75 watts for the pcie slot.

Not sure what else to do.

According to the manual(page 20) I grabbed from Dell, for 1 CPU slots 2 & 4 should be used. If two CPUs, 2, 4, 5 & 7 can be used, but the card should really be in slot 2.

Update on my Fujitsu R940 project. Last week I was thinking which would be good cooler for those E5-2696v3's. I have several times measured that my Be Quiet Dark Rock 4 would not fit to the Fujitsu motherboard. But I tried it and I was amazed that it would fit. It blocks 1 ram slot from both sides of socket(s), but I don't have memory in them. Also Dark Rock and sidepanel has probably 1 mm of free space. So I ordered second Dark Rock. It arrived yesterday. Also 2pcs Arctic P120 fans was inside my package.

About bios programmer: 16-pin bios clip was delivered about 2 weeks ago. Programmer is on the way still->it decided to be stuck in customs for a week. Should be here today or tomorrow.

Update to this. I just can't get bios file read from chip. Just every value is FF, so double fail :). Reason probably is clip which just barely snaps on. Maybe someday I will try again. I have used couple hours in two days for this. And no I won't do any soldering.

Other things I have found:
When looking bios options via AMIBCP(Do not edit bioses with this if you find this application). IntelRCSetup->PCH Configuration->Security Configuration has values lock/lockdown values Enabled. But those don't seem to do nothing interesting(I have these disabled).

Also RCSetup Server ME Configuration has "Me FW image Re-flash" option which is enabled and next "folder" Manageability Application has same option which is disabled. According to different tutorials on internet "Me FW image Re-flash" should be option which has something to do with Flash Descriptor. I may research more of this at weekend.

Those BeQuiet Dark Rocks are cooling really well these processors->highest temperature I have seen is about 55 degrees and these fans are limited with Noctua resistors(Fujitsu's PWM control is...). I haven't tried Cinebench or Prime95 with these processors.

One thing I noticed when updating freshly installed Windows 10 LTSC->When Windows did run Updating process, It did run just on one processor core. Like this machine didn't have any more free available.

Slot 2 should be the one that provides the best experience.

Ugh, seems conflicting info... but slot 2 does the same thing. Although now I am wondering if its the system.

Thank you

Now I am wondering if its the chipset support, from what I read its only using pcie x2 ugh.

That's possible. The manual does say it's PCIe 2.0, but the tech specs elsewhere say PCIe 3.0.

It looks like it's a support issue. It will co pcie 3.0 with rain and network cards but not video. I looked at the supported video cards and they were all pcie 2.0 x16 max. Oh well, card does awesome for what I use it for.

It might be a qurk of that system. Those PowerEdge servers weren't designed with gaming in mind. If you got it working, you're golden!

Well only a few nvidia cards were supported, but my nvidia P2000 works great, just is limited to x8 @3.0. Which for plex is great enough.

Little update. Back to the drawing board helped a little. Still haven't been successful with Flash Descriptor. But atleast I now have full backup of bios with Management Engine.

Solution for this was too simple. There is jumper pins near chipset and those are named ME. I put jumper on those pins and Management Engine was disabled. No backuping with Intel tools, but Linux Live cd and Flashrom did backup.bin file which opens in Uefitool and there is content in ME region.

Maybe tomorrow I will try some editing. Probably it all fails :)

No I am not expert on bios/uefi stuff. I just read tutorials multiple times and try out when I found something interesting that I could do.

thank you for the idea but 4627V4 is tuned so perfectly out of the box to run prime at 135W 10C/10T and 85W in CB23. that I couldn't do much about it and uninstalled the XTU. -100mV crashed and -50 mV is so insignificant, 10W and 5W respectively. But still if it comes to that, maybe I can squeeze 3,2Ghz at 135W on all 14 cores with minor 50 mV offset in most use scenarios. There is no hope of running Prime at full speed. Undervolt won't save the day this time. I can always disable the HT.

If you are using a game board try push de v-core to 1.8v my asus board gives 1.760 have locked up on 1.830mv and the cpu will be on max boost without decrease de the clocks

just want to notify, anyone considering upgrading to 11 on this hardware (and i recommend it performance is better in gaming tasks), you absolutely cannot use the Rapid Storage AHCI drivers on there, for some reason they just won't start

Windows 10 Intel rapid storage working fine on.my setup haven't tested windows 11 yet but did test it for dell optiplex 790 as it was the development version working ok on regular hard drive. Unless you are using a wrong driver that isn't from the website or isn't digitally signed

On that. I've been working on modding the bios for my 5810 and 7810 with a group a people. A couple have added resizable bar to use some newer GPUs better.

It works fine on 10 for sure, but the PreBoot migration will bsod every time with inaccessible boot volume when running the 11 installer, same deal if you install them after, i had to dig through some old notes i had about where windows references the pci device to the appropriate driver to revert it too, as the installation failed to create a restore point (and windows no longer implements "Use last known good configuration")

V4 is in free fall.o_O
and i got one.
Saw that a while ago and got a 2680 v4, but it was still a bit more expensive than that because i didn't want to buy into a shop with low reputation (already got bent over once a while ago). Nice little chip, sips power at full load on an x99 sabertooth, and while i can't do the max multi boost trick you can do in v3 chips, it has actually proven to be faster in games like csgo vs the 5820k i had previously, while also being able to crunch at lightroom at amost 3x the speed.
