Edifier wants to take on the mainstream wireless ANC headphone brands with its new WH950NB over-ear closed-back set. It uses a 40 mm titanium composite driver with DSP and unique app-based presets, including parametric EQ, to put out a compelling sound that is complemented by impressive noise cancellation and ambient sound modes.

Nice to hear it does well in Ambient mode, really a shame though a company won't focus purely on insane levels of ANC. I think most companies are afraid of doing too good on ANC cause it might cause problems due to idiots not paying attention to their surroundings in busy area. For me personally though, I'd love a ANC so powerful that I could literally hear nothing around me as I game. I live in a noisy house with people talking all the time, and ANC has never been able to cancel it out fully.

And ANC will never be able to. The only thing that kills all sound is distance. If someone could have made headphones that does what you want they would have.

I guess my only hope is custom fitted/molded wireless earbuds. That's going to cost me a pretty penny

They don't remove everything either. But why would you want to?

because 90% of humans annoy the living crap out of me and I can't afford to live in my own place yet due to inflation.

Ok, so you don't actually want to block out everything, but just their voices coming through the walls and doors? That is should doable with normal ANC headphones, unless the point is to sit in true silence with no sounds whatsoever (including no sound coming from the headphones). But not hearing them while you play games, with the sounds of the game in the headphones, should be possible.

And this is just an aside, but if inflation is the only thing keeping you from getting your own place you're doing very well.
