My R5 5600X CPU stays at 3.7GHz when running Cinebench tests. In games, anywhere, programs etc. there is no problem. This only happens to me when testing Cinebench. That's why I can't test the temperature.

CPU requires more power than 76W of PPT that is set as limit.

how can I do it and why does this not happen in games?
It should be somewhere under AMD Overclocking in your BIOS settings. It doesn't happen in games because games don't usually utilize all threads to their max. It may happen in some games tho.

^This + AVX2 (which is responsible for higher power draw in R20/R23), isn't exactly needed all the time in games at the moment.

I have seen this chip use up to 135w PPT with PBO and CO, 76w is strangling it :)

I have my 5600X set to 200/140/180 with an all core CO of -29 and is stable at +150 in core cycler, but I run it at +200, so every core and thread pegs at 4850.

Why those power limits you may ask? Well I lost the piece of paper I had my 5600X settings on, and this is what I used to run my 5900X at :D Don't worry, it cant use the full 200w, unlike 5900X :D

Guys, the PPT isn't the reason the CPU is stuck at base clock FFS.

By default, PPT is 76W for the 5600X and it should be scoring ~10500 points in R23.

@parinalar Which BIOS version and what scores do you get in CB23?

i set 180/100/120 rn and values increased. If I use it like this, will it cause a problem? are the values normal?

In R23 settings, disable the 10min pass and do a single run. Report you score or post it.

Running AVX2 instruction you can expect a lower all core clock speed VS games. Ryzen master shows you hitting 4335Mhz so I don't see it locked at 3.7.

Also R23 is reporting 3.7 because that is the base speed of the CPU not the actual running clock speed.

Again, please post your BIOS version and the Cinebench R23 result with default PPT values

76W is the default factory PPT and with default values you should score ~10500 points.

As you can see, I have no problem scoring 10k+ points with 76W PPT and 4+GHz clocks.

And you haven't said which BIOS version you're running.

Try clearing the motherboard CMOS and try again. Turn off your PC, and short these two pins for a few seconds highlighted below.

No, not yet. Can you reset the settings in Ryzen Master and uninstall it? Maybe it's interfering somehow.

That's really weird. It's possible the BIOS version is bugged with that motherboard. You could set a higher manual PPT value as a workaround (since it's the easiest), or try flashing an older BIOS version with AGESA 1203 (F61 for your board).
I don't think reinstalling Windows will fix it, and it's too much of a hassle to try IMO.
