A demo for Painkiller: Overdose is now available, allowing you to try out this Painkiller prequel which started out as a mod for the original game. The 750MB demo includes two singleplayer, and two multiplayer maps. The retail version of Painkiller: Overdose, which includes sixteen new levels, six new weapons, forty new monsters and additional multiplayer options, will ship October 23, 2007.

Crap. Not only didn't I finish the original, I never played the sequel!
Now there is a prequel? Oh well.

Great games if you like pure monsters blasting goodness without being bothered by an in-depth story line.

It did in mid summer 2006?

I would see it at CompUSA longingly from time to time. But never bought it because I wasnt ready to buy it:( But now its not even at CompUSA any more your best chance to get it for Xbox is now online my freind

I finally got this working after letting it install it's copy of DX9.0c (not sure why it wanted to do that since I had it installed already).

Anyway, this is a lot like the original painkiller, a pure unadulterated blast fest.
The graphics are decent and some of the new weapons are fun.
Lots of mouse clicking again ... carpal tunnel FTW !!

I would recommend this demo to anyone who liked the orginal game.
