Intel's Arc Pro A40, A30, and Arc Pro A30M for laptops were announced back in August last year, these are still only available to OEMs, and it appears that Intel is not focused on driver updates for its Arc Pro series as it is for its gaming Arc series graphics card lineup. The latest Arc Pro 31.0.101.4092 WHQL driver is the first driver update in 4 months.

The previous driver was released back in December last year, and while we do not know how popular Intel Arc Pro series is, since there are currently only two desktop and one mobile graphics card, four months are still a long time between driver updates. The latest one focuses on certification for professional applications, including various Autodesk software, Siemens, Vectorworks, Dassault Systèmes Solidworks, and others. It also includes several fixes for some of those applications.

Here are the full release notes for Intel Arc Pro 31.0.101.4092 WHQL driver:

Interesting. I didn’t even know they had low profile cards. Wonder how it compares to 6400 Radeon for games?

Hmm so every time intel releases a new driver update for gpu, we will see a post for that?

I mean, it would be inline with what they do for AMD and Nvidia, remember that TPU also hosts that stuff

Hyper Encode

Helps you spend less time waiting for your project to export. Hyper encode is made possible by the multiple media engines found on the Intel Core processor and Intel Arc graphics working in conjunction inside your laptop or desktop system.

In pure "gaming performance" ? Really hard to say since there are no benchmarks like that

but in anything "professional related" - beats it to the pulp, AI support, XeSS support, ENCODERS and DECODERS that all got cut from 6400 xD

Do you know if they will get to something that actually compares to the Nivida A5000?

I dont think pro is there primary focus atm. Like Nvidia and AMD the WS cards come after, and Intel currently seems to have its resources into improving its gaming segment. I don't think anyone can answer with certainty, but with some educated guesses no, not this generation. I would expect better pro cards maybe around gen 3 celestial.

The price is in more than the cards though. Some of these softwares atleast historically would not run on "gaming" GPUs and would only allow HW acceleration when a WS card was detected.

These may never compete with the likes of quadro or firepro and might just be a cheap way to allow small/single shops/people to use these softwares.
