Funny video not quite Kaspersky but close.

Some would be happy with this too.

Not me I have learned to cope with that tone now.

Ive always wanted to take some of the old zip drives and reader I have laying around, and put a USB inside of them so you inseert the zip disk as normal, and get to use the USB inside. Something similar in floppy form would be a great novelty.

Might be. It's in a joke video, but the product itself seems legit and the kind of thing Asus would genuinely make. There's also a best buy page (US retailer) to signup for future updates about the device.
Possibly testing the waters... But likely not happening

EVGA could troll everyone by announcing a partnership with AMD's Radeon division...

I'm very sure a potato fryer with a silicon heating element has been invented before ... can't find it right now but I think it had Intel inside.

Edit: Here it is. Thanks to climate change, you sometimes have early April in late December...

The Seasonic Ultron would be something I'd definitely buy in a realistic 1000w form. A PSU that's fully vented? Heck yes. It would be especially great in an older case, where the PSUs used to be the primary "cooling" unit, drawing air from the case out, for a neat sleeper build.

The Cherry MX Wood switches would be interesting; moreso if made with silent switch internals. The only issue with them would be the risk of moisture absorption if they're not fully treated against such, and wear rate of the wood stem against the wood top-cap.

The Be Quiet! fanless design reminds me of a past experiment in the 00s to design a "fanless PC" that had the entire front opening like Dyson, with the built-in turbine to push the air being mounted in the base. Effectively building the Dyson fan into the case. It never panned out, for dust and cost reasons (being more of a novelty than even the novelty cases of the 00s).

Wouldn't be the first time a potentially real product was teased during April Fool's Day, just to gauge interest while making use of the time when people are out looking for jokes.

That would make my heart break; I really do want an EVGA Radeon GPU, with their best OC'ers put on them and testing it to the limits, resulting in Kingpin Radeons. Heck, given how GN's last interviews with EVGA's GPU team mentioned how hostile NVIDIA was getting, it'd be great to have AMD step in and ask them to help improve their GPUs.

That reminds me, did the KFComputer ever actually pan out? I recall that supposedly a stupid/silly 1:1 functional unit was made.

Oh that has a fan alright - it just has a fan down below blowing up into that frame

Those are the most overpriced trash i've had the misfortune of hearing, friend got one for the "health benefits" and i hated the whine it gave off so bad, but he stood by it (so he wouldnt regret it, i guess)

I am seeing Silverstone getting bombarded with emails asking for that case to become a real product.
They brought this on themselves for making a joke render of something that's kinda in vogue with enthusiasts over 30.

I mean, someone would probably buy that:

A retro inspired line of cases. Something that works right out of the box and has support for modern fan setups and AIOs.

I really like that Silver Stone case... Too bad it doesn't have 3.5 inch floppies though.

I'd unironically love that Silverstone case.

I'd love to build an HTPC in that Silverstone throwback case

Love the black Silverstone case

I'd totally buy one of those Silverstone cases.

Shame that Silverstone case is only a joke. I would totally buy it.

Seriously, what's the best way to get Silverstone's attention on this?
Clearly, I'm far from the only one indulging in retro these days.

I don't have a kitty kitty, but I feel like the AORUS Cat Master should DEFINITELY be a thing. Several of my discord friends own cats and it seems like the cat is always interrupting them during gaming. I'd gift each one of them the Cat Master for Christmas, no joke.

I feel like the ZERO fan from be quiet! could also be a thing, but the difficulty lies in how it would actually generate air given the constricted space of the fan frame.

Lastly, that Silverstone case needs to become reality. I wouldn't buy it, but I've been using computers since I was little and do remember dem beige box days. Nostalgia absolutely sells.

Bladeless ionic wind fans are possible but I don't think they would ever be adequate for computer use (ESD) even if the power supply problem was eventually solved (and how that miracle would be achieved would cause Nikola Tesla to wake up from the grave and personally congratulate the genius that figured it out), I watched a video on it some time ago.

Chaitanya found a real 'solid-state air-mover', but it appears to use ultrasonics instead of ionic wind.

The other issue w/ ion wind air-movers is O3 and NOX production. The ESD/Ionization and oxidant issues can be 'solved' with a grounded catalytic grid on the exhaust (cheap Manganese Dioxide, as seen in alkaline batteries, would probably work).
It adds complexity and expense, but for some applications it could be a feature*. If engineered-for-purpose, the cooling could also help to clean the ambient air. Assuming there could be a dwell time in the plenum the ionization, O3, and NOX destroys a lot of contaminants and can aide in PM2.5 aggregating and fall-out.

*
There are already patented and in-use designs for industrial air scrubbers that utilize the concept(s)

There are already patented and in-use designs for industrial air scrubbers that utilize the concept(s)
I don't know if you talk about this but it look like it can be in laptop soon
