MSI and Epox' buggers were Teapos, from my experience. Both a 8RGM3I (nF2 iGP) and a K8N Neo v2 had bloated Teapos.

Albatron had issues with Evercon/GSC for a long time - I think ever since the nF2 and all the way up until 865PE included. Surprisingly they weren't consistent in their cap choice - I had a KM400T-8x that was factory fitted with OST RLX caps, much like Gigabyte did during that era most of the times.

Another Saturday at the local market and got this GA-P55-UD3 (rev.1.0)
with an i5 750 for £5. I am not holding my breath as to whether it will work after the three other boards failing to Post or boot. Also which is of concern, when I got it home I noticed the board is warped, not a good sign. It is only a USB 2 version. But if it would work I will be over the moon. It has been a nice day here in London, spring is here. I have to be lucky one day to get one board to work. I can't see any caps gone, mind you I could not see any gone on the other three boards. Sadly that Doors bootleg album is also warped. But I have had that for years I got that for free when I bought a bundle of LPs years ago .Another Retro video

For the fourth time i have tried a mother board it has failed to work.

Motherboard has continuous rapid beepingDoes anyone have any idea as to the problem GA-P55-UD3 (rev.1.0)i had a feeling it would not work,i don,t know whether it is to do with the board being warpedi would not be surprised.

I have got it working ,cleaned the ram slots and the Ram with rubbing Alcohol.One of my GPU,s was given picture with lines on the monitor that must be bad.It did show that is had got to moniter but shut off.Than i got one beep and it loaded up see photo.But had to press the on .off button for some time.so i take it isn,t quite right.At least i am getting somewhere.It went to show a picture and ,went off straight away. I am not sure if it started back on its own ,or i restarted it ,one bleep to get a picture ,still the problem of having to press the on/off button for a short while to turn it off.​

I was warching another video and guy was taliking about fans ,i looked at one fan header and one of the pins was touching another pin,I straightend it back to how it should be and conected a fan like the guy said on the video,but that was not the problem.

I bought the heatsink fan before i bought the motherboard.from the same stall.The Heatsink Fan was £2 the motherboard was £3 it did not come with come with Ram or a heatsink fan and no CMOS battery.I was lucky to see it as it was under the table in a different motherboard box.The i5 750 is not a bad CPU. first GEN i5 . I see the Xeon X3440 2,53 lowest price on eBay is £10, unfouruenatly .CEX for some reason don,t sell them.

It is well warped am i going to be able to get it in the case?

And the K8N is set up on the bench. I legitimately forgot this was one of the two K8N I have that has had a custom splash screen applied.

And yes, I went ahead and just said "screw it", and dropped XP x64's install disc image onto a 4GB microSD card. Blazing fast, considering USB 2.0 was still new voodoo magic back when this board released.

I did also find the other stock K8N... but it's in an dire need of a recap. Whatever my brain was thinking nearly 10 years ago when I installed Evercons all over the board (Evercon being one of the many names of GSC, aka the worst capacitor you'd ever find - Albatrons were their biggest vicitms as far as I remember) escapes me, but sure as heck they need to get off that board. I'll be looking whatever dead 775 board I have that I may be able to harvest polymers off and treat it to a whole polymod - the one I used here has Panasonic FL/FJ over the entire board so no need for me to replace them.

I was looking on other tech forums and people were saying that people were receiving new Motherboards that were warped I doubt if they were as warped as mine. It's a shame that the only one I could get to work was warped.It does not look so bad now,i tightened up one of the plastic lugs.

Aerocool Bolt Mini I thought it was small. I agree with the guy about the tempered glass being held on with four screws.

Sounds like a lot of delicate work to upgrade it.

How many of you find Retro PCs thrown out in 2023 Let alone three?

They all look in good nick to_apart from the third one the first two look cleaner than the one I just bought. Why did they cut the front panel connectors?
I am glad he did not kill that big spider and put it outside.

I have just made a second PC build ASUS P5N D the fans are very noisy Is that to be expected, My first build with 1155 was also noisy. My Dells and HP PC,s I could hardly hear the fans, is there some way I can tone them done? Or should I send it back? I mean I could understand if it was a 98se or something from that vintage. This is to 680LDS there must be a problem with the front ports one USB and the audio port do not work in this case. I was going to blame the INTEL. stock heatsink but the one in here is Akasa a lot of cold air coming out of the back of the case.

Thats the thing i like about IMAC,s they are so quite let alone the M1 and M2 Mac,s.I just hope i don,t get the noise problem with the RYZON PC i just bought. bought.Why have i never had noise problems with HP and Dell PC,s.As i said earlier it it was old XP or older ones i would expect noise.Can anyone tall me how to a adjust the fans in the BIOS on my Asus P5N D? And why are OEM builds so quite,i know they only have one small fan in them.It is the Heatsink fan the other fan is fine.I am trying to get the Gigabyte board working after a time it turns it self off I tried loading Windows 10 it could not load it .I am trying to get XP on it ,if this works it will be a miracle.It just switched it self off but it has come back to the XP install.

...and the 939 is done, for now. I might have a Opteron join it soon enough, if the classified is still up. That one has a Lanparty board of the same chipset, and a 6800GT, it seems. Funny enough - same case but gray/silver as opposed of beige/khaki like my Manchester 4600+ does.

I have sent it back that is the last time I get a motherboard on eBay.I will keep on getting bords for £5 pounds and under at my local market. And just hoping that one will work one day.The Gigabyte one I pictured on here earlier has nearly got there, it gets to the start menu boots into an os then stops the keyboard and mouse go off at other times it goes off and starts again.

I am building a PC in this free case i got the other week.Instead of having thouse tiny front panal Leds it has a Molex plug male one side and Female the other side.where do i plug it in?Do i just plug the male side into Molex plug on the PSU? The board looks so tiny in that case

As I looked on the PC cases for sale it was not in there. but looked in his list of items for sale it was in there, it could have been sold earlier when i was looking at the cases for sale it is not on there now. You win some and lose some.

I just got this this today at the local market
Corsair CO-9050005-WW Air Series SP120 Quiet Edition 120mm Low Noise High Pressure 3 Pin Fan with a blue ring the seller wanted £1.50 i only had a £1.40 It is unused.

I did see a Corsair cooler at the same stall but was missing one of the screws for the motherboard.You never know what your going to find there .

I can,t get any further with this on the PS2 keyboard it want move down for me to click next?It has gone this far i can not believe it can,t go the whole way? It is the board you see in the photo

Glad to hear that. I was presing all the keys to no avaleI will
give that a try. It does switch it self off, and then comes back on.The mouse goes of only the PS2 keyboard stays on.It is so near to fully working i have got the XP install to get a little bit further before i did not have to do what you said though.Yes, If it is not raining i go to the market when it is on Wednesday ,Friday and Saturday .I will have to give Easy2Boot a go.Downloading Get into PC XP i have so many Discs i don,t know if any of them work any more.So do a fresh copy,There is a 64 bit.

The box for the free case i case i got in it was the wrong one it said it was the H18 in fact it is the H17 as i found out from this guys video
For once he says something is good, for a budget case.the only thing he does not like is the airflow on the front of the case

. I just hope i can get the fans in there Yet again he gives a good review of mr case.
