Shared GPU memory issue

Hello everybody!

I have an issue with my shared GPU memory.
Recently I installed new GPU 3060 rtx (12GB). After completing installation I noticed that my normal RAM reduced from 12 to 8 GB. CPU-Z shows all 6 RAM modules are working properly (6 modules installed, 2GB each) In adapter settings I can see:
GPU memory: 16GB
Dedicated GPU memory: 12GB
Shared GPU memory: 4GB
Can I reduce shared memory to 0?
Motherboard MSI x-58 pro-e
Thanks in advance!

Your system will probably be a massive bottleneck for this new GPU...

Shared GPU memory is not deducted from your system RAM, it is just potentially available to your GPU if it runs out of VRAM. My system have a GPU with 12GB VRAM plus 16GB shared GPU memory. I still have the total 32GB system RAM available.
So, if you lost 4GB RAM there should be another cause.

X58 overclocked can still hold its own today. Had an x5675 do 4.8ghz all core and ran everything just fine with stronger cards.

If you see 12 GB RAM in OS (6 x 2 GB) then everything is OK. If not,, reseat memory modules. Dedicated/shared is automatically managed and it is not needed to care about it. OS will take max available when needed.

Any idea what can cause it? As I mentioned, cpu-z can see all 6 modules of ram, also in bios settings I can see all 6 modules

By reseating modules you mean swapping them? I already did it many times, I tried like 10 different combinations - no success. However in one combination I had only 4 total ram available!
