Diablo IV Inside the Game: Into the Endgame. Join members of the Diablo IV development team as they pull back the curtain on the experiences waiting for you in the endgame. Welcome, wanderer! Over the course of our new Inside the Game video series, we'll sit down with our resident Diablo IV experts—members of the development team—to walk you through elements of the game.

Our second video in this series, Into the Endgame, is an exploration of the many endgame systems players can continue to grow their character's legend through once the Main Quest has been completed. The endless battle between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells rages on as hatred threatens to consume Sanctuary. With ceaseless demons to slaughter, countless abilities to master, nightmarish Dungeons and Legendary loot, this vast world brings the promise of adventure and devastation.

Join associate game director Joseph Piepiora, game director Joe Shely, lead game producer Kayleigh Calder, and game producer Ash Sweetring as they elaborate on these aspects of Diablo IV in the below developer video: Capstone and Nightmare dungeons, Paragon Boards and the Codex of Power, Overworld experiences, and Fields of Hatred.

Enjoyed this video and hungry for more? Stay tuned! Our next Inside the Game developer video will focus on Class Customization and will be released in later April. Keep an eye out on our news site or official Diablo YouTube channel for more details.

Tune in to the Next Diablo IV Developer Update Livestream
In mid-April, we will publish a blog on our news site that details how we'll translate player feedback into improvements for Diablo IV. On April 20, 11 a.m. PDT, members of the Diablo IV development team, accompanied by a special guest host Rhykker, will return for the next Diablo IV Developer Update Livestream, where they'll further elaborate on our planned improvements! They'll also delve into the flames and share additional details about endgame systems.

Not sure what Vulkan support would improve the game already ran at very high framerates on my 5800X and 5950X based systems in the 250-350fps range. The game already felt better than a lot of recently released games and it was a beta.

It's also not very demanding at max settings 4k120 my 4090s fans didn't even come on the majority of the time.

It also played fine in Linux using Proton-GE. Incredibly impressive beta showing from Blizzard.

at $70 I can wait but it does look impressive

Why? Blizzard North just like Blizzard use their own custom engines outside of HoTS using the SC2 engine

I actually spent 200 usd on it getting the most expensive version for me and my wife.

70 usd would have been nice lol

I mean it's like half a work day even at $200 for the likely 100s of hours we will be playing it not really overly worried about it.

I have the Deluxe version bought, for me that was almost 2 weeks of work. 'yeah I get shit payment for my part time job where I live..:shadedshu:'
Played both beta weekends and I had quite some fun with it once my char/build started to get together with supporting legendary powers and whatnot. 'I was playing a Sorc mainly but also tried Necro a bit'

Performance was decent enough on my rig at max settings for a beta, town gameplay had stutters but the rest was fine and I assume they will do something about that since their feedback forum was full of such reports about performance related issues. 'some ppl reported out of memory crashes and whatnot, luckily I had none of those'

Most likely I will play it plenty enough to get back my money's worth so spending this ammount did not make me feel bad or anything.
End game is the most important part for me in a ARPG and I'm glad to see that there will be something to do even in the relase version, supposedly they will add permanent new content with each season too + whatever else.

My son in law has been pestering me non stop to play it with him on his playstation. Keeps telling me how great it is! He doesn't realize that I haven't used a console controller since the original ps! Maybe he isn't flappity flappin for once?
$70 for a game is a no go for me as well. The older I get the harder it is to find time to play anyhow. Maybe when it hits $40 or $50. Altho, if I hinted at it I'm sure I could get the sil to buy it as an Easter gift muhahaha!

I also suppose you didn't have the stutter issues? If you didn't, I know you are lying, even with your 4090.

Suppose, it's just me that wants a stable frame-time, all the time. Vulkan is far superior and definitely would have helped Blizzard with their stuttering mess.

Can't wait.

I did really enjoy the beta. It hooked me good. Sorcerer - Lightning was just loads of fun to play.

Same, I am waiting on a $40 or $50 sale and some more patches. PvP, world tiers, and never ending seasons doesn't really interest me. I didn't even play Diablo 3 until like 4 or 5 years after it had already been out, maybe longer than that. I really enjoyed it, was a fantastic campaign experience, and that might be how I end up enjoying Diablo 4 down the road as well.

I wish Blizz would sell a smaller version of the game, no online/no pvp, no end game, just a start to finish campaign. I am getting the itch to replay Warcraft 3 campaigns actually, its been about 5 years since I done those. So I might do that soon :toast:
