OK guys here's my thoughts - M$ most likely doesn't care too much about all this "Not compatible"
Nah! It is true that Microsoft doesn't care much about legacy support, but not because of any lawsuit. It is because
NO software development company has any requirement, responsibility, obligation, or duty to maintain support for
legacy hardware products. The reverse is true too. Hardware makers are not required or duty bound to provide support for legacy operating systems.
Contrary to what some folks seem to think, the hardware industry marches to a different drummer than Microsoft. And that's a good thing. Do we really want Microsoft telling Intel and AMD how to make their processors, or HP and Brother how to make their printers? I don't.
Where would Linux be if Microsoft controlled everything? And yet, Windows supports Linux!
So Microsoft publishes their specs and protocols, the hardware makers are responsible to develop drivers and interfaces to insure compatibility.
If HP or Epson refuse to invest resources (with $0.00 return on those investments) in W11 drivers for their obsolete, out-of-production printers, and instead, want consumers to buy their new printers (where there are profits), that's not on Microsoft!
Same with motherboard makers, RAM makers, younameit makers.
I never looked him up it was just what i heard people say about him.
That was evident. But do you always simply repeat what others say? I suspect, or at least hope, you don't - ESPECIALLY if what you heard was from some anonymous username behind a funny face/avatar on the Internet.
In your defense, corporate greed is real and years ago, Microsoft clearly wanted to and tried to rule the world

. But that has changed thanks to the EU and Congress threatening to break MS up Ma Bell style, and due to consumer backlash too. MS has finally seen the light. Admittedly, W8 helped too.
I mean come on! They gave W10 away and most W10 users can upgrade to W11 for free! Even if you need to buy a new license for a new computer, you can get a legitimate W10 or W11 license for less than what we had to pay for an XP license when it came out!!! In what industry does that happen? This is why the M$ moniker no longer makes sense - except to MS bashers and the misinformed.
Still, Microsoft is a company with shareholders. It has to make money to survive and attract investors. That is not an unreasonable expectation.
I hope you can see this okay.
Speaking of corporate greed, that is a brand new,
never-opened bottle of Head & Shoulders shampoo. It never leaked - it came 3/4 full.

Only with that flashlight can you see inside the bottle. Yes, I am sending that picture to Procter and Gamble too.
Just pretend you are from Missouri - the "Show me" state. I'm not from there, but Missouri borders my state - plus I tend to be a skeptic anyway, until I see for myself that something is, or isn't -
within reason (I invest in tin, I don't wear tinfoil hats!
