Hi. I am currently running the Beta Bios and it is running sweet. I have even used my profile i had saved with Expo enabled running my 2 x 32gb kingston @ 6000. I have had the system running since 10pm last night with no boot issues or crashes.

The boot times are basically the same. I think the memory training will get sorted eventually to reduce the time. I have found one small issue, i was on the desktop and the screen just went black and did not restart so i had to do a hard reset to get it to boot again. It then started up slowly and i checked the I think this could have something to do with the Precision boost and the voltage which could be flutuating causing this issue. I don't think everyone will get this glitch, but overall the bios is still in beta so anything could happen. This only happened 30 mins ago and before that no issues since updating, but i just checked the event log and the error was with the KERNELBASE.dll which caused the crash within the Gigabyte Control Center. The timings are so precise between the Processor, Memory, Graphics card and the voltage and i still feel it was a memory issue within the bios causing this. I think we are going to have these small issues for a while, but if you want to play it safe until then use the BIOS 0805 as the latest bios updates are for the support of the new X3D processors and a few memory tweaks, which to be honest does not really do anything for performance. I have reverted back to the 0805 bios just to make sure this error does not occur again and i will confirm this in a couple of days. Let me know your thoughts everyone on the latest bios releases. cheers

The issue i had was with the Gigabyte Control Center crashing and causing the black screen. The event timer showed a Kernel Crash in the software. It is really strange though as i don't get this error or crash with Bios revision 0805. Everything has to be so precise with the new setup and it only takes one thing to fail to throw the whole system out. I noticed JayTwoCents is having lots of issues with his new Ryzen 7950X3D and it could have something to do with how the processors are recognised in the bios, which is causing some strange errors. It is still early days so it is all trial and error until all the issues are fixed.
Take Care all. Cheers

I updated to 1.0.0.5c on the Gigabyte X670E Master yesterday. It broke memory support. Can't post 6200 anymore. Haven't played around with it much, could just be the auto SoC voltage is a bit lower. Still doesn't change that now DDR5-6200 no longer works with just XMP/expo.

That is not good. I would go back to the previous revision until they fix the issue with the memory timings . The new bios revisions are a little messy at the moment. Asus released 3 updates in a month so it would be a good idea to wait until they iron out these issues. These Motherboards are not cheap and i was always told that updates are important to improve features not break them. I just want to trust the Manufacturers deliver us some quality updates instead of them fixing things that don't need fixing. Time will tell. Cheers

hmm i am on 0925 and have no issues. only booting takes always 60-90 seconds.

I followed this video to tighten my memory timings

With these settings:

I have a substancial better reults in memory benchmarks compared to XMP DDR5-6000Mhz CL 30. I am using 4x 16GB sticks. Can only recommend to try it as well.
I have a 7950X3D overclocked to CCD1: 5.3Ghz / CCD2: 5.9GHhz

I find a new memory EXPO from ASUS motherboard in test bios 1003.

Could you please download Zentimings and share a screenshot of the timings? Programm is free and very light weight. I would like to compare to mine.

The parameters of the two memories are slightly different. It's all auto set from motherboard.

These are my Timings i am currently using after a few tweaks. Running great other than every now and again Gygabyte Control Center crashes and causes a black screen with my RTX 4090. It has crashed with all the the last three bios revisions with kernel errors in the event timers, but i dont get a crash or black screen with BIOS 0805. I disabled the int gpu just in case to see if the crash was something to do with that. So far today running the 1003 revision i haven't had the black screen, but time will tell. If it does happen again then i will investigate this further.
The memory i am using is:

I managed to work out and fix the black screen issue and crash with the latest bios revisions 0922, 0925 and 1003. The internal GPU would switch by itself within windows and cause the Aorus RTX 4090 Master and GCC to crash. I disabled the internal GPU within the bios and since then i haven't had any issues. This is a glitch which needs to be addressed by ASUS. Strange Issue.....cheers

The issue must be just a glitch with my config somewhere. They have just released another revision 1004 bios. They must be addressing lots of issues as this is the forth in a month. cheers

SOMEONE MIGHT HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION FOR THE LONG BOOT TIMES AND EXPO UNSTABILITY ON ASUS MOBO!
I encountered this thread on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/11y4zei
And the person said he had to enable Memory Context Restore in TWO locations in the ASUS BIOS. (Alongside the EXPO).
People on the thread seem to have reported it working for them and I am also included in them!

We need a bigger sample size to know if it is really the fix to a problem a lot of us are having, but it seems very promising so far!
My boot times are really fast, since it's not doing memory training every startup. And it's not crashing my system! I've got it on EXPO II. I only started applying this today, so I need more time to see if it's fully stable for me in in the next few days as well.

After 26th reboot. I found new expo tweaked in 1003 or 1004 that could be significant latency.Just modified the TREFI value to 65535(MAX)IT'S called Refresh Interval in asus bios 0805.
I use this memory module.

G.SKILL F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR

Now I use ROG STRIX X670E-E GAMING WIFI BIOS 0805 AGESA version ComboAM5PI 1.0.0.3 patch A + D,latency 65ns,Continuously testing stability.

praying that this is the expo plug and play solution.
i just want to use my 7950X3D and slowly ease into my first AMD system.

wanted to thank you for keeping us informed, as the asus forum somehow now wants to blame its cusomers for not being willing to experiment and find a solution for themselves.

i'm disabled and my PC is placed not in reaching distance, so i can't simply get up and hard reset that thing when it gets stuck in forever memory training.

also tested CP overdrive today, and the game chuggs on 0805. like bad. you can feel how it sends data to parked cores.

what a "what were they thinking" lauch this was... AMD not putting a controller on the chip and relying on gamebar, almost wants me to change back to intel.
