The Gainward GeForce RTX 4070 Ghost is a cost-optimized custom-design selling at NVIDIA MSRP of $600. NVIDIA's newest card achieves performance similar to RTX 3080 and RX 6800 XT, with support for the DLSS 3 Frame Generation Technology.

Lookling at the small size of the PCB, I hope there will be even smaller 2 fan or even 1 fan cards, like the 3060Ti. I need one below 200mm for my 5L case.

200W, single 8-pin, 2 slot and 2 fan solution? These will be nice for SFFs. Or even easily cooled on H2O with these nice small PCBs.

This review is a joke, right? "Cooler is weaker than on other RTX 4070 MSRP cards" Its well within margin of error to the other 4070s. Its performance was also well within margin of error to the others in the tests. The fact that Techpowerup gave all but this card the "Editors Choice Award" is a joke in and of itself. The 4070 is a joke and this site appears to be in on it.

It's 9 degree past a FE Model, are you calling that a margin of error? Maybe, if they're measuring with asses

The Gainward card's cooler needs to be substantially (4dB+) louder than the other tested cards to have similar temperatures, and has markedly worse temperatures when noise normalized.

I don't know where you're getting the idea that this card is within margin of error to the other tested cards.

Great review! The mounting holes on the Gainward PCB for the cooler look more 'standard' than some of the other cards - this gives me hope for some aftermarket solutions that will reduce the length of the card to sub 200mm. The Zotac 2-fan models are 225.8mm and even then it seems like there's significant room for further space optimization. I'm not sure if a single-fan solution would be appropriate for GDDR6X, but there are single fan versions of the 3060 ti GDDR6.

Does it make any sense €161 for a full cover. And I should have €159 already invested in radiators and pumps in my case.
That might buy me a 16GB card in the not too distant future.

Shrug. Depends on what your goals are. The new air coolers on GPUs are surprisingly quiet and cool, but nothing beats a proper custom loop for temps.

Great review! Here in Brazil those cards are in very reasonable prices most of the time, being a great deal. My question is, do you guys have measured the thermal pads size? I'm about to do the first cleanup on my PC, and was hoping to open my toy just once with the new pads ready.
