One of the samples released before they decided against the 20GB GA102's and 16GB GA104's I reckon, cool find!

Now, with this card, the owner does not need to worry about planned early obsolescence, pretty good find!

One thing confuses me though, how is it that 20GB VRAM can be fitted? I'd thought due to memory bus, it'd have to go from 12GB to 24GB, IF it were a regular RTX 3080 10GB, I'd have no problem with that.

unreleased card, there was a planned 320 bit bus 3080ti which is what this was using 8gbit memory modules in dual rank config like the 3090 but only 20 modules instead of 24. MSI, Gigabyte, asus had these cards already made with serial numbers but a few months before launch nvidia decided no as it would compete to much with the 3090, thus why 3080ti 12gb exists

the best part is its on the 3090 msi suprim X PCB which means theres i2C headers, easy volt mod. coupled with the fact that the stock bios goes up to 450W, this card could easily go toe to toe or beat 3090. probably why nvidia never allowed it to be released.

Seems that they have 8GB and 16GB memory chips. That points to a max of 24GB for 12 pads populated (Ti variants).
20GB if you populate only 10 of the pads, like in non-Ti 3080.
