Just returned from store,
1st- The Liquid cooler was not wired properly after rewiring, during strress tests reached 95-96 temp,
2nd-Applied better quality thermal paste
3rd- applied undervolt of -0.005
Now cinebench 23 gets 27k points
Idle temps are 30-35,
Cyberpunk temperature 55-60

During stress tests no throttle occurs, constant frequency )))

Thank you all for help, later will perform cinebench and drop here the result

But they havent touched the power limits ,only undervolt

Good day guys,
I updated Win 10---Win 11, and
My temperatures rised again, not as before of course)))

But now when i do cinebench i hit 100 degrees with enough time. and temp keep around 97-99-100
Do i have to reapply undervolt after the Win 11 update?
In XTTU it still shows -0.005

Cinebench result before update was 27341
now is 25114

Please advice)

Maybe I should modify this PL1 pl2 limits, can anyone please guide me on how to do it,and which values to input?

I did undervolting to -0.05V. No thermal thtrottling with Cinebench 23, score is 25574

However my idle temps are quite high ,around 50 degrees now, does not goe below 50 even with full fan speed

and fans are getting quite noizy

how to reduce the idle temp)?

What's your cpu clock speed under load now?

Semi-related Buildzoid came across a interesting bug in 12/13th CPus that if the voltage offset is in a weird place it will produce lower scores like the CPU is downclocking, but it isn't. Only happened to me a few times using negative offset. I would turn off your OC adjustments and start over for a new baseline in Windows 11

Currently i turned off Undervol, 0.00
PL 1 PL 2 all on auto (Unlimited), 1st picture is on IDLE ,2nd Picture under Cinebench 23multicoretest , last picure at 6 minute of the test, 100 degrees(
But on w10 i got much more cooler temps, and higher cinebench score : D (in win 10 i had -.005 under, and i just found out today that store guys changed max processor in power plan to 90%, but still my cinebench score was 27k and wihout any throttle
I simply updated to win 11 by air, kept same undervolt and processor 90%, and temperatures were higher, and cinebench score-25k

5GHz P / 3.7 E looks normal for a 12900K. Idk why the power plan is set to 90%. Either your paying for a full CPU or your not...

I would honestly return the PC and build your own. 100 C temperatures are not normal on a 12900K, especially not after a Windows 11 update. New PCs shouldn't even come with Windows 10 anymore to begin with. You can legitimately build your own PC for cheaper than buying a prebuilt not to mention you would gain a decent amount of experience buildng your own PC. Seems like they made some major mistakes when they built the PC for the 12900K to require undervolting to stay below 100 degrees. That shouldn't be necessary, at all.

Ah good article. So 27K is like P1/2 to 250 limit. 25k = 170~. I believe 29k is what I got with "unlimited" power (4096), which was about 320 watts under load.

Edit: Hwinfo shows your CPU package at 200 watts. Kinda in the range or what 25K would be. It

No, Intel 12/13th gen are designed to peak at 100c for maximum turbo. What the store did wrong was incorrect cooling installation, which has been fixed.... Maybe. Shouldn't be at 100c with only 200 watts using a AIO.

100 C on an AIO liquid cooler though? That seems very, well, bad to me; and that high of a temperature gives me anxiety...

If the CPU scores where normal, than yes 100c is fine because it's with in spec. The issue I had now and just noticed is the CPU is only at 200 watts. Shouldn't be at 100c. AIO isn't doing a good job.

Makes me wonder if OP would be better off bringing the PC to the shop again and seeing if they can get a different cooler? Like a Noctua / Deepcool air cooler or something, or swapping the AIO for a Corsair H170i or such, depending on what kinds of coolers OP's case can fit.

I kinda agree. I would accept 85-90c, a score of 27k with the BIOS power limit set to P1/P2=250. Otherwise give me a different cooler and / or some money back. I don't expect any AIO to handle the unlimited power mode (4096), because the CPU will draw 320 watts if allowed in a stock configuration. Plus you only gain 2k in a benchmark. Won't make any difference for gaming.

There shouldn't be any windows power plan adjustments either. No voltage offset too. If the system builder cannot provide a stable system at 100% stock settings (with BIOS power limit), they are doing it wrong.

Hi,
Silicon lottery chips are not created equally but so do aio's so no telling how it was wired wrong

50c idle though seems like the aio is a goner/ defect or damaged by builder.
11 upgrade I've never had any issues on several chips
Optimize defaults in mother board bios.
Restore default power plan which should be Balanced
I use this addition to context menu for quick access to power plan options

Power plan i put back to 100
and apply undervolt of -0.05

Cinebench score 27450
Max temp 90 degrees
Idle temp of PC 33-40 degrees
idk why on Win 11 it went crazy)

This could be a case air flow/case fans speeds issue.

The screenshot of your fan speeds shows CPU (AIO fans) running between 1234 and 1762. These fans are rated at 1800 rpm max, so this is alright. There is then FANIN4 that is the AIO pump, this was running between 1864 and 2689 rpm. The spec for the pump say 2500 maximum speed plus or minus 10% so that is OK.

We now come to the case fans. There are two readings for these. This may not mean that there are just two case fans, one may be a fan hub. FANIN1 shows a speed of between 459 and 573 - whether this is an intake or exhaust fan the max speed seems too low for a system of your spec. I would have expected fans with a max of around 1500. There is then FANIN3 that varies in speed between 124 and 1551. The top speed is OK but I would say that 124 is too low a starting point. This will be as a result of the BIOS fan profile, I think for a gaming system I would be looking for more like 500 rpm as a minimum.

I wouldn't roll back personally since you can potentially lose thread scheduling for e cores. Your temps under W11 were fine.

Yeah. main concern was the score , It went from 27k-------25k
and honestly idle temperatures of 50 caused a lot of fan noise,
on windows 10 even while i play my game which is not vey heavy i still stay below 50 degrees, and room is very quiet))))

This windows is not licensed maybe air update for non licensed windows got som mess up, i really dont understand)
I even updated the bios version to the last one

Hi,
11 has some obnoxious security features that are enabled by default if virtualization is enabled in bios
Maybe it had issues with the aio driver which is another security annoyance if enabled.

Of course if the activation is so-so maybe 11 was just soaking up resources checking it off the 10 upgrade
Windows updates has a long history of svchost freaking if it can't connect and communicate to ms servers.

Best first step with 11 is get a third party antivirus that way defender is disabled easier if not already after installing one.

To the OP. There was an issue with those Deepcool RGB coolers where they were gunking or did not have enough liquid. I would seriously get a Noctua 12 or 14 Air cooler and call it a day. Keep the fans from your Deepcool and use them as Intake or Exhaust. You will have a much better experience and see better temps. It is only because you are new that I would recommend going that route. Of course you could also get an inexpensive cooler (take your pic) but no Air cooler can compare to Noctua when it comes to noise/performance. They make the best fans hands down but they are expensive. That is a good thing though because you are getting a $40 fan (that is worth it) and a $60 heatsink.

but Noctua is air based, i thought liquid cooling is better ?
what is by far best cooling system for I9 processors?
After store rewired my Deep cole i dont think its broken somehow, because Right now temperatures are great in Idle and in stress tests(max temp 90) idle 30-35 . but i have -0.05 undervolt
Maybe a bit later I will put another cooling system but need to decide which one )
It could have been installing a bunch of updates in the background.
I doubt it because I performed all windows updates, and 2-3 hrs passed since that, in addition even pic temps were higher, and cinebench score 2k lower )))

Benchmark Scores They're pretty good, nothing crazy.
It could have been installing a bunch of updates in the background.
or search indexing etc.... you have to run a taskmanagaer to make sure you're getting a true score.
