or search indexing etc.... you have to run a taskmanagaer to make sure you're getting a true score.

Would that make a 2000 point difference I've never noticed a more than 3% variation in benchmarks and I don't disable anything not even icue half the time and my scores are always margin of error from review sites even sometimes slightly higher.

Watch this from Jayz2c

he basically states if it's intel i9 you seriously need to undervolt to tame temps

I disagree. Just need proper cooling for whatever power target your going for.
He has 1 x 360 AIO not a custom WC job that he can just add another rad to so undervolting is the only way he's going to calm those temps down

Benchmark Scores They're pretty good, nothing crazy.

When you do a first install i've definitely noticed some substantial drops... that would also explain the "high 50C idle fans" since it probably wasn't idle... it was probably loading 2 - 3 cores with updats/ scans etc.

software does not affect temps outside of load -- it would make no sense that windows 10 is somehow miraculously cooler -- w11 was definitely doing something in the background, and after a fresh install that's actually not uncommon as it sets itself up.

I would definitely reinstall W11 and figure out what it was doing in the background -- the W11 kernel is modified to work with these chips and thread scheduler -- that alone is reason enough to switch imo.

Yeah, that was pretty confusing to me as well. I never actually heard of such a thing unless something in windows 11 was using the CPU in the background. I wonder if the OP did a full clean install and not just an upgrade for me at least windows still has major issues when trying to update the OS in that manner.

But since i updated to win 11, already passed few hours, 2-3 at least,
I also applied all Win 11 uipdates
Maybe i should need to just make a clean install of win 11 not air update form non licensed windows))
But so far i dont need win11, will try it later i think
as to undervolt, i hope that my -0.05 offset wont dmg anything in long term view))
i can try to buy better coolling system next month, just dont know which one to pick
