FiiO adds to its portable DAC/amplifier line with the new KA5 which uses two Cirrus Logic CS43198 DACs, dedicated op-amps, and a capable USB audio bridge to allow plenty of power and good sound off its two headphone outputs. It also has an OLED screen with an onboard OS for added customization to sweeten the deal.

I was going to grab this but ended up with a truthear SHIO for 58 + tax off amazon... Sounded good enough that I didn't want to return it

I'll still consider this if my SHIO ends up breaking, but the PCB layouts look fairly similar.. (same controller and general layout). If anything this is a slight step up vs Moondrop moonriver 2 (Should be similar to shio given the PM is the same for both companies).

I have the Fiio K1, had it for many years now and its served me well. I really wish this was a bit cheaper, I might have considered upgrading my K1 to it. For now I am happy with my K1

KA3/Q11/SHIO are all less expensive and quite capable too.

if i ever need to replace my KA1 ... i would gladly go for that one, instead of the KA3 but you can count on Switzerland pricing to F me up

yep indeed  58chf more than a KA3 (but the screen make up for the oveprice :D )

I have and prefer their BTR5 2021, which is around the same price anyway and more versatile with BT LDAC standalone mode.
