Not sure. I think there is some kind of 3d engine that will create 3d from 2d, but don't think this has it. Dont care at this point, plenty of 3d content already. I found a 3d 4k bluray rental site, has a ton of content. Think Netflix on steroids

Picked up this little guy.

Order placed this morning, had a hiccup with credit card and declining b/c they thought it was fraudulent, hopefully all will work out.
Dammit!
I've been looking for something like this, and I find out about it just a few hours after the Kickstarter closed! :banghead:

From what I gather, the kickstarter was just a way to gauge worldwide interest. It is an established product in Asia. You will be able to find it on shelves within a few months, let alone web stores, prob sooner.

I ordered the Asus AP201 case in black.

I think all my components should fit. I wanted a smaller case for an older build I still have around (B350, 3600X, RX 6600)

I have no doubt. However, the reason I'm kicking myself is that it'll be a lot more $$$ now the kickstarter has ended.

Apparently, even at retail, it's a good deal. The earlybird I got went quick. I was negligent at my work duties while refreshing the page!

Don't beat yourself up about it. It was pure luck I happened to look at the frontpage news that day. I don't troll kickstarter looking for cool things, otherwise, I'd be.....let's just say I'd rather buy used gear. Wifey was the driver behind this one. She wants a real home theater, so who am I to say no?:D

300$? eh? that's a steal... (my only grip with Samsung is their pricing  ) the S23 Ultra is 1300chf/$~ for me  cheapest in second hand is 900ish

talking about Samsung and pricing ...

i entered a givaway back in february, never got an email, so i thought i didn't got anything, until... i got a phone call today from my phone service provider, turns out ... i won ...
the giveaway 1st prize was a Galaxy S23 8/256gb Phantom black... they confirmed me it was sent today o_O

conflicted ... not a Samsung fan, but ... Snapdragon 8 Gen 2... nonetheless that would mean trading 4gb RAM less (8gb vs 12gb) less screen " (6.1" vs 6.62" ) slower charging (25W vs 65W) and smaller battery (3900mAh vs 5000mAh ... about 14hrs less in the endurance rating....) pros side ... aside the SOC, well, faster storage (UFS4.0 vs 3.1) Gorilla Glass Victus 2 instead for GG5, a bit lighter and IP68 rating and USB-C 3.2 vs 2.0

conflicted also because, my Realme GT2 is literally new (well 4 month old but pristine like new) so, either i sell it or the S23 ... given the S23 8/256 is between 850chf~(promo) and 949chf(regular price)
1. sell the GT2 for 200ish chf or
2. sell the S23 for at least 450chf ...
it's literally a win win situation ... imho thus hard time to decide

edit: technically not a purchase but a tech acquisition nonetheless ;)

ah ... nah, being mobile with an E-bike, hum i do have a "cradle" for the phone use as GPS on the bike

and cellular gaming well, i reckon both would be good for it ... the GT2 has a Samsung E4 AMOLED panel not too dissimilar to the one in the S23

plus i need a bit extra and even 200ish would be a neat bonus ... i guess i test the S23 when i receive it and keep the one i'm the most comfortable with, who knows ... maybe i will have a change of heart about Samsung ...

nonetheless the GT2 has a higher value overall, imho, than the S23... buuuuut SD 8 Gen2 :pimp: for free ... can't argue that i am slightly interested to see what it will be (my last Galaxy phone was a second hand S3 )

For a good time I dismissed tablets as unnecessary. Now I use my Tab S6 (which I got used) quite frequently, it's a godsent for media consumption while commuting to/from work.

Purchase this fine 2TB SSD with DRAM cache for £89.55 and a enclosure but I just discovered today this cheap ass enclosure is only 1.5GB/s not the full 3GB/s but I guess for the £5.93 it's not that shabby even it shows USB 3.2 Gen2 on the box :wtf:

I choice the Intenso Top because I use them at work 256GB to 1TB and they are cheap and reliable and works great with Windows 10 Pro on them.

A what appears to be mint Corsair Graphite 780T in white for $40 off the local Craigslist. All of the original fans are gone but I have plenty on hand. I'm supposed to pick it up tomorrow afternoon.

Just bought this 30 dollar Amazon DIY Open Air test bench for testing a few motherboards and components I've collected over the years. This one, an Asus X99 A-ll, that looks as though I have the dreaded defective DIMM issue, preventing the bios from recognizing all 4, 16GB ECC rdimms, and therefore unable to have quad channel memory. Bios recognizes a1 and b1 dimm slots but c1 and d1 although the dimms are in the dimm slots, they aren’t being pickup by the bios. The bios easily recognized the Xeon E5 2680 v4 CPU with 14 cores 28 threads though.

I'm getting one of those test benches very soon. I'm using non-ECC RAM in my two current X99 rigs and have no issues with the E5 2683 V4 (64GB) and E5 2699 V4 (128GB), The first is an Asus X99 Deluxe, the second an ASRock X99 Extreme4/3.1.

Yes, all good solid X99 systems you have there. I do have an all working Asus X99 A-ll as my deep learning rig, running 64GB of Corsair Vengeance 2666mhz, on an i7 6950x cpu, with a Quadro RTX a4000.
Just picked up an amazing EVGA X299 FTW, with a i9-10980XE for less than half of what my deep learning rig costs. Sometimes you get lucky on marketplace. BTW, I will try non ECC memory soon on this test bench rig and hope hope the bios will recognize all the dimms, thanks for the suggestion. Attached a photo of the X299 rig.
