They were trying to give me a 14 pro max for free when I recently turned in my note 20 ultra and I couldn't do it IOS is just way too clunky for me. They can track me all they want IDGAF but IOS is where I draw the line

I use a Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max myself not planning to upgrade it until I can get a USB-C port in it.

Everything else I almost own is either USB-A or C now a days so it will be great to have it all standard instead of lightning.

I only bought the iPhone 13, because my old iPhone 7 was dying.. I actually would have liked to wait another generation at least. (I do not buy flagship smartphones before they are about to be replaced)

welp, i think i will keep the Galaxy S23 and pass the GT2 to a colleague who has issues with his Galaxy a20s,
multiples issues in fact:
1. cracked screen
2. short on storage (max 64gb? no joke)
3. well ... its a freaking a20s ... that itself is an issue, he's okay with 200 (the a20S was 194chf) it's a darn good bargain for him (well, i got a 949chf 2023 flagship for free ... i also get a darn good bargain )

grip on Samsung, aside the pricing issue which is technically gone, no charger in the box (Samsung is doing a freaking Apple ... but i have a 30w PPD capable charger, so, matters not, still slower charge time), no free case (come on ... even Realme at half the price ~ bundle a nice starter case... ), odd keyboard and home/Drawer (will need a bit of fiddling and customization, but ok), 1100mAh less on the battery and smaller size but i can get used to that ...

agreably surprised ... the S23 design is not bad at all, the frosted back feel super nice and the new "island-less" camera setup look nice, performance is top notch (actually the SOC is special ... the SD 8 Gen2 For Galaxy is technically OC out of the box ... sometime called SD 8 Gen 2 Turbo, and suspected to be the base for the, probably, upcoming SD 8+ Gen 2 )

setup, painless, using Samsung Smart Switch app on both phones and the bundled USB-C to USB-C cable ...40min to copy all pics video musics and apps.

It's not just Samsung & Apple, no-one supplies a USB charger in Europe anymore, because e-waste regulations.

well, actually ... my Realme GT 2 came with a 65W brick ... that i had to replace, because unfortunately a colleague at work did break the connector , with another 65W brick from Oneplus (compatible) and every phones sold here in Switzerland (which is technically in EU but not EU ) have one aside ... Samsung & Apple

but as i said matter not, i have enough good powerbrick and powerbank to get arround the "no charger" plus the packaging is smaller which i kinda like in the end ...

second day with the S23 ... daaaaaaaaaaaaamn i love it ... i never thought i would say that about a Samsung device, but imho with the S23 they replicated the feeling i had with the Galaxy SII, it does not look like a plastic toy (the OG S and S3 felt like cheap plastic toy too but the S was technically my first android device), like the subsequent S4 to S22 (not the Ultra ... but the Ultras were always way too expensive, not that the standard and + are not overpriced ... they still are, imho) impressed ...

6.1" size is not too big nor too small...

WL Extreme S23 Ultra top score is 3733 (well that's a QHD+ vs HD+ ) and the S23+ (which has the same HD+ resolution) is 3709 and S23 is "normaly" 3696

Just bought this 30 dollar Amazon DIY Open Air test bench for testing a few motherboards and components I've collected over the years. This one, an Asus X99 A-ll, that looks as though I have the dreaded defective DIMM issue, preventing the bios from recognizing all 4, 16GB ECC rdimms, and therefore unable to have quad channel memory. Bios recognizes a1 and b1 dimm slots but c1 and d1 although the dimms are in the dimm slots, they aren’t being pickup by the bios. The bios easily recognized the Xeon E5 2680 v4 CPU with 14 cores 28 threads though.

I just typed "open air motherboard test bench" in Amazon, and a dozen or so showed up. Originally wanted an EATX test bench that was reviewed recently by Jayz2cents but that was almost $200 Canadian !! So I just went for an inexpensive, next day shipping, plexiglass ATX sized bench, it came with all the standoffs, screws and GPU hold-down posts. Jayz2cents video motivated me to buy, as I have so many components to through....need to streamline.
