How fast do you enter your OS?

I'm interested in seeing how storage, motherboard, and memory configurations change boot time. If you can, please state what you have.

7950x, X670E Steel Legend, DDR5 64GB 6000@CL36. OS: P41 Plat 2TB
Bios: AGESA 1.0.0.6. Fast boot and Mem context on.
Time: 15 seconds to OS.

About 15 seconds to the login screen I guess..
i7 12700K, Z690 Aorus Master, 32GB DDR5 6000 CL36.

Not using any hibernate/fastboot options.

With a SSD and Win 11 somewhere around 15 seconds to the log in.
SSDs are much faster than HDDs that I had always used in the past. These days with the cheap prices of SSDs I don't see any reason not to have at least a small one for OS and a few other programs.

It's weird but the TUF B550M mobo that I use now is much faster than my late X570 Impact.
Not that the Impact was slow at approx. 15 secs but this one is at level of 10s.

Maybe the BIOS? Nothing changed with the storage like new OS correct?

The X570 Impact died unexpectedly and the B550M purchased out of necessity.
The nvmes, hardware and software in general are exactly the same.
I haven't even reinstalled Windows or anything.

It took 5-10 minutes the first time for the Windows to adapt to the new environment.

Mine was 9.2 seconds, no fast boot, specs are Tomahawk Z490, 10600K and Ram at 4000mhz cl16 as per my specs, I use the SATA SSD 120GB as a dedicated boot drive on Win 10 home with little to no bloatwear, in the process of upgrading so it will be interesting to compare next week once the components arrive.

upgrade that psu .... u need high amp single rail 100amp or better and watch ur system and gpu speed up

I run an 850w Gold TF3 with a 4090 and 7950X. Runs just fine.

I'm limited a bit in the GPU, 550 Watts max. But with everything running at once, there is no problem and it reaches average benchmark scores.

Most PSU's apparently are at their most efficient when they are drawing around 50 - 60% of their capacity and if so it differs for everyone...... although I do not pretend to be an expert.

For everything except TW Warhammer 3 its 100% perfect still.

I think in Total War I can gain +30% FPS later in campaigns with my new GPU

It gets pretty choppy after turn 60ish and that's all CPU
Also ran the Final Fantasy benchmark the other day which is heavily CPU limited... that also showed about 30% below par performance
