Every time i start the PC (not at a restart) my PC freezes for up to 2 minutes, can't do anything in that time, not even to delete a small file, but the system also isn't doing anything. All i can do is quickly open something before it all freezes.
I manage to open hwinfo or taskmanager in time, i see no process stalling everything or major use of the system, it stays idle and barely uses the resources, cpu stays at 1, 2% and no major ram usage either, no fans ramp up, nothing.

Updated everything i can think of, and can't thing of a culprit here. Using W10 Pro. Have the system for some time and this is new. Only the cpu is new on the system but it also only started some time after the upgrade. Any ideas?

The only thing i missed and can think of is a fresh OS install, something i really wanted to avoid for professional reasons.

Do you use any apps/tool to "clean up the bloatware" / modify windows and such?

If so, reinstall windows and try without this app(s).

Maybe a faulty SSD/M2 or a bad SATA cable?

what happens with safe mode?
didn't tried that. i will

no sata cables used, could be a bad drive idk, but it would be strange, it works fine 99.9% of the time or in a restart, just not on a first boot of the system

thanks for the replies, i think this is windows related, hardware seems fine. I've been down the rabbit hole of internet diagnosis and i found lots of weird stuff. This is a original 2017 install, and i think it's time for a fresh install.

I had an error that said 'operation completed successfully' once. It was caused by windows installing new features without installing the prerequisites. In my case it was 'Application Guard' for Edge (which I don't use) that needed Hyper-V that wasn't installed. You could try and look at the windows features list (Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features -> Turn on/off windows features) and see if there are things installed that are might require other features (will need to google that) or are not needed in the first place.
