Oh, it really is coming then.
But I can't find any info about it, which is weird. Normally they release a preview and some sort of release notes a few months before.

of course there's no info about 22H2 for Win10 cuz Microsoft are keeping their mouths shut (as if they don't wanna talk about it)
22H2 for Win11 got all the hype and attention but 22H2 for Win10 got nuthin' (it's almost an afterthought)
so don't worry about it. it will eventually get released to the public later this October (aka. GA = general availability or RTW = release to web) when MS is actually ready to release it

22H2 for Windows 11 came out Tue. Sept. 20 (aka. public release or GA, general availability) as build 22621.382 > {x64 ESD link for Win11 22H2}
though recently Win11 22H2 got a recent "refreshed" release with build 22621.525 > {x64 ESD link for Win11 22H2 22621.525 refresh}
-both "consumer" US English releases

the Win11 22621.525 ISOs (ex. Win11_22H2_English_x64v1.iso) were also available for download from the Win11 ISO download page - those re-released ISOs were to fix a setup localization bug (see KB5019311), mostly on non-English editions; MS did not catch the bug earlier when 22H2 for Win11 went GA (general availability) on Tue. Sept. 20

exactly. no "change log" about 22H2, no nuthin "ground breaking" with 22H2 for Win10
just another small EP (enablement package) patch for W10; almost make most Win10 users to NOT upgrade to 22H2

I've been using UUPD, entirely forgot about this thread.

Way easier to get someone an updated link than walk them through such complex actions as unzipping a file an double clicking a batch... which yes, has been nightmarish with some people.

Weird. I've never had a single problem. Updates either runs and finish successfully, or they refuse to run at all.

forgot to mention last time that these updated ESDs are downloaded by the Win10 & Win11 media creation tool [MCT] apps and no longer download the old ESD builds
I've re-installed Win10 22H2 on a few of my win10 pcs (via in-place upgrade repair install) with these refreshed May 2023 install ESD media and they boot up a little faster (and have gotten rid of a bunch of old redundant updates that were installed months ago)

I do like that MS has found ways to debloat the OS with these, vs what happened to 7.

The major updates remove the 'patched patches to the patched patch" bloat and keep just the modern versions of a file, and take up a ton less space.
(The downside is doing it the slow normal windows update way, is that it crunches mechancial disks and CPU's for a while when the PC is idle and freaks non IT literate people out)

They're not very popular in the tech world due to trust issues, many have included rootkits and malware.

The only method people around here will commonly recommend is a clean ISO and then tweaks like BloatyNosy or specific scripts, where you can verify what has been changed.

Removing defender and windows update for example, means you'll never have a secure OS - and it's 100% possible to have a clean OS that pings clean servers, and one day months or years later change those servers to have malware.

You could be safe and likely are - but no tech forums are ever going to recommend customised OS's, unless you make it yourself.

Rufus, we all use.
That's an amazing tool even for other OS's.

i don't download from weird places. but praticaly all my windows were torrent versions, including with the updates pre applied, the LTSC versions, versions with stupid stuff removed. They are miles better then the MS experience. Never had an issue
