Reposting my score, I don't think I'd score any higher with my new CPU, since it's a GPU benchmark...

750$ gpu checking in. Cpu/gpu repasted with Arctic mx-6 and it knocked 5c off runs of superP compared to kyronaut on the 7900xt.
CPU remained about the same temp compared to kryonaut, havent tested on something with more load like Cine yet.

Yeesh, there are 6950XTs for which you can get at $630 on Amazon almost reaching your score. Mind you the spreadsheet is obviously outdated, but the top score is still from a 6900XT almost reaching your score.

I mention this obviousness cause you obviously mentioned the value of your GPU - so if you think it's about value here, then see the 6900XT?

You think a stock 630$ 6900xt will reach anywhere near my score? Brother, stock 4090s are 18-19k ..That score is either bugged or on a god tier loop with evc and custom caps which all said and done would cost way more than my card and well over 1000$...or it's on l2n which isn't something you can really use ..thus bench was literally my daily settings .. but just to provide some examples...Here are what stock 630$ 6900xts and 6950s bench with modern processors and overclocks:Superposition_Benchmark_v1.1_12345_1672816494.png1672856247057.png

7900 xtx with oc:
superposition bench1.jpgsuperposition-1080PExtreme-11June2023.png

I took all these examples from this very thread. So obviously you didn't dig too deep before pooing on my post for what I'm guessing is low-key fanboying some Nvidia action..sigh

BUT yes. I was ribbing a bit about the value, but ultimately I'm not fanboying. At 750$+35$ evc ....it's likely the best value here. Money wise 4070ti is same or a bit more in price with 8gb less vram but not even close performance and you know how much xtx and 4080s(-4gb vram + 400$ Price for a good brand) run.

Wait till you see this card when I got my water block if it ever comes off back order...this is still on stock fans my man and only ~550w..600w+ is as soon as I get the block. Then we can really get the sodium chloride flowing! Haha I kid I kid, but seriously least look at more than just page 1 before you go making claims like that, no?

An old score, from not long after I built the machine. Different CPU now (7900X), but I can't be arsed to install and run SP again.

Wow can't believe this thread is still going after so many years! I first posted here years ago with a R9-290X on Linux running OpenGL.
I've got a PowerColor Liquid Devil Ultimate now however it identifies itself as a Red Devil Ultimate. It is Overclocked to max 2.8GHz with 381w power limit. With 1080p extreme though it would only go to ~2732Ghz on Average. I think the resolution is too small for it and 1440p is the sweet spot for this card. Yes, this is the rare Navi 21 XTXH chip... The binning of the already binned chips to find the king of the hill for the 6900 XT series! Weren't many globally sold, I was lucky, very lucky.
Driver is Mesa 23.2.1
Would be good if Unigine updates this benchmark with a Vulkan version.

Benchmark Scores It's a form of exhibitionism...;-), but fun in a way But showing off is triggering.............
It's a benchmark from 2017, so a little outdated. Then again, still a great tool for tweaking as the benchmarking runs don't take too long.

I was tweaking my RX 6700 XT with the possibilities given within AMD Adrenalin and started with 6670 points @ stock settings and managed to reach 7125 points, a 6.8% increase.

Not world rocking, but at least I now know the limits of my card within the Adrenalin settings up to the point where increasing parameters are deminising the results and next I want to see if these settings work for 3DMark benchmarks too.
Luckely I don't have to worry about temps, as I have a (overkill) customloop and a full cover waterblock keeping it nicely comfortable with GPU @ 38 degrees and hotspot @ 60 degrees when using about 183 Watts during benching.
Ambient temp was 21 and the cooling liquid balanced at 25 degrees Celcius.

Superposition_Benchmark_v1.1_7125_1698353111.png

Edit:

noticed something was weird and after checking with GPU-Z I found out that during testing my card was running @ x 16 PCIe 1.1
So after a restart checking again, running @ 16 x PCIe 3.0 (due to my riser cable not 4.0). Ran a the benchmark again with the optimized Adrenalin settings and got a better score.
At stock I scored 7154 points and with optimized settings in Adrenalin 7647 points, so still 6.9% increase

Try pushing the limits on Linux this way...
  1. Custom build the latest linux stable kernel optimised for your zen 3 with max optimisation (O3) and LTO (using LLVM)
  2. Custom build the latest stable Mesa driver optimised for your zen 3 with max optimisation (O3) and "FULL" LTO using GCC-13.2. Build specific for amdgpu to remove all the other bloat from intel and nvidia, etc mixed in default Mesa!
  3. At this point with both above, your OS is optimised for your 5900x and your GPU driver is optimised to run with your 5900x and specific to AMD GPU stack.
  4. Overclock
Much more freedom in linux to push to max. the cons are that many Windows benchmarks are not available to Linux without jumping through hoops. But there are many available in Linux, just different.

Nice core clock, what are you using for extra tuning? Since the last few drivers I can't get past 310W even if setting an extra MPT on my amperage using More Power Tool
Now I'm overclocking @ 2790/1900 MHz and get new score 5116

Yes I'm using MorePowerTool w/ 1600 MHz SoC & 2120 MHz FCLK
