Thank you, I'm gonna get the 2tb one, it should be a huge upgrade from my 970 evo plus 500 GBFor game storage a 980 pro will do fine.
Since May 2022 I use one for the OS and some games installed.

Why do you expect that? Most SSDs are equally as fast in desktop use, the increased sequential read/write speeds of the "high-end" models really only makes a difference when copying large files.Thank you, I'm gonna get the 2tb one, it should be a huge upgrade from my 970 evo plus 500 GB

Why do you expect that?
It's true for gaming scenario. My 990 pro allow me insane response time and instant browser and play samples in my 500gb library of audio plug in and audio sample for ableton live (90% of them are really tiny files). Much better experience than my sabrent. It's also faster in loading autocad and doing other things. Why do you expect that? The 4 TB version of the 990 PRO is still an unreleased product that you cannot buy anywhere (and the ETA is still unknown). The real reason I'd pick a 990 Pro over a 980 Pro is the 990 comes in sizes larger than 2 TB.

Samsung 980/990 PRO, Kingston KC3000 or Seagate FireCuda 530 should be a great choice.Cannot be wrong with 980Pro, but if Samsung is not a must - Kingston KC3000 2TB is a very very good SSD comparing to 980Pro and cheaper.

This is a benchmark, sure, but the difference when you start doing something else other than browing or playing can be big.

The 980's had pretty good sales price at $99. I was eying that WD 4TB that recently went on sale but going to wait it out until the Christmas season.Yes it will get you insane response how ever by minor percentages and maybe a second here and there. Should only get these drives when there are crazy sales on them other wise a SATA3 6G drive will just plenty.
