Besides, people usually don't buy SSDs for speed, but for latency. That's why I think PCI-e Gen 5 is pointless.

Both are from 2010 in case of this SSD. Really a snail of the SSD world.

But it's OK because I just needed anything that actually WORKS and IS NOT an HDD. I'm happy with my purchase.

Those are actually pretty common here in asia and to be honest they don't work very well when people are near

My other half has killed a ton of them with that mixture. Might take some experimenting to the the right scent for them to dive into an die.

Not the most excited product on earn but received my second TP-Link TL-SG105E with a web management they are low price but fine gigabit switches with a couple of cat6a cables if not I had to rewire my whole setup and I do not want to do that and move my TP-Link Deco M5 behind my smart tv setup again like last time I had fibre connect.

Alienware laptops are great build quality, but there's something wrong with their thermal paste design.

Every one I've owned, plus many owners on forums, report significant improvements with a liquid metal repaste and GPU VRM/VRAM repad.

I had the 13" 1060 model with a 1440p OLED screen, great machine, but ran hot stock.

Even ASUS are starting to wake up to the potential of liquid metal in laptops, PS5 too. Does wonders with small heatsinks.

But yeah, like the MSI Ghost series which I've also owned, the motherboards are inverted which sucks.

What I liked about the Razer laptops is that the motherboards are quite well designed for maintenance and upgrades.

I believe Alienware for 2023 are using a mixture of liquid metal + conventional thermal paste which they call it their Element 31 or something?
The X16 has 4 fans which I believe does make a difference slightly too, but I do have my giant GT500 cooling pad that should help blow cool air in constantly as well.
I will be trying to maintain the laptop by cleaning the fans once every few months.
I may consider buying their extended warranty near the end of the 1 year cycle though, since I did not have any luck the last time i've changed the thermal paste on a laptop(partly my own fault for not disconnecting the battery) but since the motherboard is inverted on the AW. Id rather not try and disassemble it myself and cock up, I would rather let them cock up if they did and offer me a replacement under warranty.

i decided that worn bike tyres are more dangerous than it ...



will use them with tube for now, and get the tubeless "add on" later (or a new monitor ... )
my bike frame is black with green accent ... i can safely bet that these will look dapper (a bit like old american cars with white wall tyres, well the Onza Porcupine are skin wall tho ... )

obviouly will be needing a nice tool for unfitting/fitting

i guess that one will do just fine


i could go for overnight delivery for 2.50chf extra but i work from 10am to 10pm tomorrow and delivery window is from 11am sooooo overweekend delivery for next monday ahah.


in short any of the 2 "emergency" related options are in the 260-280chf... fudge, there goes my "i want a 5800X3D next month"... oh well i change that to "i want a 5800X3D before the end of the year" it will be more realistic

my 10yrs old OCZ Vertex 3 120gb was a used buy for 30ish chf .... it still shows 97% health (oh wait now it's 12yrs old ... but 10yrs in full use as OS SSD )

i still keep it as it was the first SSD i bought
i have 2 3.5" 1tb 7.2k spinner to replace .... i have a 2tb Barracuda that could replace one and give 1tb more but, i am more inclined to get 2 2.5" 2TB SSD ... but not now, i still have 1.84tb left between my 2.5" SSD already in the rig

well, it's nice to have options, since my rim are TL-Ready and the tyres are too, once i get enough info i will do the switch test and decide which one is best for me.
(but, if i switch, i will keep the tubes in the saddlebag since it can help, now, no one will wonder why i opted for a 13L saddlebag

Since it is Micron, it is my boot disk on my main computer at home; I moved the original 2TB hybrid drive to serve as the backup drive (using Windows automatic backup);
so I feel I am actually in a better situation than before when I kept backups on a USB drive (which I still do)

I have actually purchased secondhand RAM and hard drives in the past, but test them throughly and even one bad sector on a hard drive means it gets retired.
