The Thermaltake CTE C750 TG ARGB aims to stick out from the competition with its own spin on a rotated motherboard layout and cooling setup. As a large case, you can expect tons of room for storage, fans or liquid cooling alongside big functional components.

How is the Display Port or HDMI cable connected to the GPU? I don't see the DP/HDMI ports/cable out of the top of the case....

So full set of power, drive Leds along with power and reset button are present on this case unlike Fractal and Phanteks who are hell bent on castrating some of those from front IO.

Maybe add a small warning about GPU temps since some cooler designs hate being mounted this way resulting in 20c higher temps compared to a horizontal mount.

Just an idea for future chassis reviews: would it be possible to populate ALL the fan mountings in the cases so we can get an idea of what the ceiling on thermal performance is? Also what the case would look like with all the fans in there

I am looking forward to this read. This is the first case in a long time that can fit a 12 x 13" motherboard (Asus WRX 80 Pro - AMD ThreadRipper) without sacrificing something. I read over the manual the other day! The only thing I did see, it fits 3/140 in the front and will only fit there 420 AIO. And the only way to actually get a radiator that is less than 430mm - The only one made by Corisar is what I have seen so far!

Even Thermaltake's own testing exposes this. Doing a comparison with the same 4090 Strix GPU in a Fractal Torrent with Furmark I couldn't push the GPU over 60c with GPU fanspeeds at 1000RPM & case fanspeeds (Noctua A14 Industrials) at 500RPM (i.e. inaudible). Their test graph has the 4090 Strix at 75c.

As a 90 degree fan however, this case is so almost perfect it hurts. The only things holding it back IMO.

A: 2x3.5" on the rear. Sounds dumb, but 2x3.5's can be easily turned into 4x2.5's, and 4 SATA ports is the max most chipsets expose (not counting AsMedia crap).
B: A distro that fits on the side. With the GPU orientation issue, this case is begging for a bottom intake, dual front/back rads. As is, you can see how messy WC is in this case with how TT place pumps & res in their promo shots.

It is interesting that this came to market at the same time Silverstone has released a new 90 degree monstrosity as well, honestly, as much as I adore Silverstone, the TT looks like the better design.

Did I read the test correctly, this case could be a little hot pocket.

Also, I think i would be nice to have the option to rotate the GPU to be inline with the fans, so that Air goes right past the GPU, verse get smacked on the back side.,

Its more than just an idea, its a multiple requested justified approach to truly get a better perspective of airflow/thermal performance. Most of these case-types thrive on offering a multitude of possibilities in improving thermal performance hence outside of stock configurations it would be nice to see a more versatile test approach (both in stock and full fan mount scenarios).

-------

the thick plastic doesn't wash well with me but a pat on ThermalTakes back for trying different designs. Not sure what to make of everything tied to the top with heat generally travelling upwards but i guess nowadays these types of cases manage 100's of fans.... i'd be more concerned whether these types of cases lift off and end up in the neighbours back garden (so far the Li Lians have proven weighty enough to be grounded).

Yes, that Joker is a cooler without the ice!
I enjoy water cooling, I could not imagine about time you load this up with two rads and fluids. You could hit 50 pds.

Of all the cases out I there I feel this one merits testing with various configurations. I know it makes the results uncomparable to other cases but still, this is a special case (ha).

I'm very disapointed that there are no pictures showing the MB port connections, unless I missed them. I get these reviews can be also be affiliated sales, but would like to see typical setup, you know, USB cables, HDMI, audio connected.

I've bought one of these but would love to know, could I buy 420mm aio rads only and then populate the front and rear with 140's?

What I mean is i'd like to put a 420mm rad in the front and the rear, but they say only 420mm aio rads, so do you think I could effectively just get 2 rads from 420mm aio's (without the rest of the aio) and use them instead?
Ah yeah I see, that's kinda weird, tbh. Normally if it fits a 420mm AIO it will also fit a 420 radiator.
So to answer your question, just go for 2x 420 rads.

That's what I was thinking, bottled it though and went for 360's instead, could always sell them after trying 420's if they fit
