Where would I get replacement GPU fans for my RTX 4070 Asus DUAL? I like to have spares on hand. Ideally an exact match but I can't find a model number without pulling my card apart

Solution
could be CF1010U12S DC12V 0.45A for ASUS KO RTX 3060 RTX 3060 Ti RTX 3070 V2 OC

consists of two 4 pin fans ending with 7 pin 6 wire I found it on aliexpress

This early on in it's life ?, normally you'd get them from ebay.

No warranty on the card or some thing ?, you could ask the manufacture.

If you can find pics of the fans' hubs (like, in a detailed review of the card), you might be able to get the model#s off the fans and find them on aliexpress or eBay.
The fans are probably shared with other models, and may already be on eBay, etc. just not listed for the 4070.

One of the fans has about 1mm of wobble at the rim when spinning so I'm concerned it's gonna cark it after a while

First two hits are replacement fans, third hit is you asking the same question on LTT

This is correct, however those first two hits do not have any that exactly match my card, or at least they don't spec them for this card but for triple models that may be different. I also posted on LTT to cast a wider net; someone who uses LTT but not TPU might know something, or vice versa.

yeah that's the closest I've been able to find. I ordered a pair. Current fan should be okay until they arrive.

I was thinking of a plate that carries standard Noctua fans, and maybe not even bother with a shroud.

Oh what I wouldn't do for a graphics card with easy-to-source replacement fans.
That's why I angrily went custom water for my 3090, no ability to source better air cooling.

See I could go for an AIO solution but I won't touch custom with a 10 foot pole. Wonder if NZXT still do those conversion brackets..

They dont fit modern GPUs
it worked when all they had to do was cool the GPU die itself, but the VRM's and VRAM need the full cooling performance now too (let alone cards with VRAM on the back of the PCB) so they're not compatible.

Even simple changes like variants moving the VRMs to the left or right of the GPU caused headaches because they'd hit the retention brackets on heatsinks for the other components
I've still got my G12 here, but until i find a free/dirt cheap asetek unit it's not worth the price to cool a GTX 1080 (the most powerful GPU i have that fits it)

This fact keeps me wanting to see SOMEONE build a liquid-tight enclosure around a card for full-submersion cooling (without submerging the whole build).

I suppose, with the right filament, one could 3D print and finish-out a sealable container with fittings for a lines, pump, and radiator. Wouldn't be easy to tackle 'wicking' through...

Yeah I revisited them and the definite no for me was the fact that the auxiliary fan is on the complete wrong side for the 4070's VRMs, not to mention most would blow past the pcb and fail to cool the vram well either. Asus' included heatsink is fantastic, I just wish there were a strong and neatish way to mount noctua slims to that thing... not desperate enough for zip ties.

i know more than one AIO that failed (incl me), none for the "custom" loops.
some decent AIO stuff (eisbaer/predator), can be upgraded/extended, so lot less complicated/harder to miss (ordering) parts etc when building a custom loop from scratch.
but the biggest improvement would be the lower system (gpu) temps.

gpu aio

Arctic always had great gpu aircoolers, but recent gens already come with bigger heatsinks/fans,
so i guess its not that much of a revenue for them anymore.

The best way if its possible is to just replace the fans - but some GPU designs make that really hard, like blower designs or layouts that use custom sizes

there are custom water AIO' kits, but you still need a block that fits your GPU's PCB and going down that rabbit hole really shows how GPU makers give no shits about compatibility

Power Supply Corsair RM750X 2021 w/ Corsair Type 4 Sleeved Red Cables
The best way if its possible is to just replace the fans - but some GPU designs make that really hard, like blower designs or layouts that use custom sizes

there are custom water AIO' kits, but you still need a block that fits your GPU's PCB and going down that rabbit hole really shows how GPU makers give no shits about compatibility
Finding fans that are technically compatible and will fit has turned out to be the lesser problem. It'll basically take most Asus axial tech 95mm fans from the last couple of years, bonus compatibility if it's from an Asus KO or Dual. But the basic design between 30 and 40 series seems to really only differ by bearing type.

What's more frustrating is finding a reliable certified outlet, of which there are none. My current order is heading in from GpuFanReplacement and they claim the supplier for that fan is the same OEM that Asus uses. While it all looks to be mechanically identical, I'll have to take their word that the fan is OEM legit

I got ali express ones designed 'exactly' for the blower GTX 970 i had, and all the screw holes were off so i ended up having to hack the crap out of the frame to replace the fan, and it was just as noisy as the original it was replacing -.-

A 3D printer would be amazing for this sort of thing, but the ones i'd trust to hold up to vibrating motors and long term heat are too expensive to be worth it
