Turbo boost not working anymore in high uses

Hello, first of all, sorry for my bad english
Here is my laptop specs:
acer nitro 5 an515-54
i5 9300h 2,4 ghz (turbo 4.1 ghz)
gtx 1650 gddr5 4 gb
16 gb ddr4 2666 mhz
windows 10 - 22H2

Problem: I played 8 hours of resident evil 4 remake without using TS, clock up to 4 ghz. When i tried using TS with underclock using 3.6 ghz (this is the unique item i changed in whole TS software), i got cpu 92ºC but managed to stay in 3.6 ghz full time, cpu full load and working well.
After some minutes occured a BLUESCREEN saying DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE. I restarted windows and the cpu frequency got 4.1 ghz in normal use, its okay because TS is not opened and energy power plan was set to maximum perfomace. The big problem is in heavy use of CPU (like games, stress test, etc.) when the turbo is desactivated automatically and the system never go beyond 2.4 ghz (base clock). This problem is doing shuttering that i never had before. Now Resident evil 4 is unplayable, elden ring, maybe all AAA games (i think i cant get perfect performace with this laptop, but before this BLUESCREEN, the turbo boost was necessary).
Tried to format Windows 10 in a fresh start without TS use (never opened it again since formatted), but not worked, still losing turbo clock in heavy uses. Seems like the turbo boost is useless now.

How i can solve this? TS has caused a hardware issue? Its safe to open TS again? TS applied some conifg to my BIOS so i cant get out of it?
Thanks for the help!

TS has caused a hardware issue?
Not likely. Millions of people use ThrottleStop every day. If ThrottleStop was causing hardware problems, no one would be using it.

TS applied some conifg to my BIOS
Definitely not. ThrottleStop has no access to any of your BIOS settings.

Its safe to open TS again?
I think so. Before you run ThrottleStop, delete the previous ThrottleStop.INI configuration file. That way you will be starting fresh without any previous settings that you might have accidentally saved.

The Acer Nitro series sets the thermal throttling temperature too low. Much lower than what Intel recommends. Your screenshot shows that the CPU might be thermal throttling. The on screen software you are using might report that as turbo boost being disabled.

Show me some screenshots of the main ThrottleStop window as well as the FIVR and TPL windows. Turn on the Log File option and go play a game for 15 minutes. Attach a log file and some screenshots to your next post so I can help you troubleshoot your problems.

Tried to format Windows 10
There is never a reason to do that after using ThrottleStop.

Hello unclewebb, thanks for the support, here is the log file when playing "re4 remake" and screenshots from TS running with base config.

Look at all of the TEMP messages in the log file you posted. Acer low balled the thermal throttling temperature to 92C instead of the Intel recommended value of 100C. The result is constant thermal throttling. You will never see consistent performance or maximum performance when the CPU is bouncing off the thermal throttling limit. The CPU is being slowed down to protect against any long term damage.

ThrottleStop did not break your laptop. It looks like poor design and inadequate cooling. What thermal paste are you using? Fix the cooling problem.

Update to ThrottleStop 9.6. Try setting a -100 mV offset undervolt for the core and the cache. Undervolting will help but you still need to fix the cooling issues if possible.

So, im glad everything is ok in hardware terms. Youre right unclewebb, this acer nitro version has a very bad cooling system based in two fans too close. I saw some vid reviews about newer acer nitro versions with two fans at each end, resulting in lower temperatures (but not a miracle). This laptop have one year of use, never got temperatures down of 85 degrees in heavy use.
The thermal paste still the factory model, i dont know where to find info about it, sorry. I always use laptop in a suspended base (~20 cm), i opened the cover and just made a superficial cleaning of fans.
You suggested to configure only -100 mV in core and cache or -100 mV with underclock of 3,6 ghz?
Thanks again

Do whatever you have to do to try and get the core temperature down to a peak of about 90°C. Constant thermal throttling is not good for smooth performance. You will likely have to do both. Undervolt and reduce the maximum CPU speed. Look into replacing the thermal paste. Genuine Honeywell PTM7950 works well in laptops.

Have a look in the Options window. Is there a lock icon near the PROCHOT Offset setting on the right hand side? PROCHOT Offset is presently set to 8. This setting is what tells your CPU to prematurely thermal throttle at 92°C instead of the full 100°C. If you do not see a lock icon, you can reduce the PROCHOT Offset value to raise the thermal throttling temperature. Most Acer laptops lock this setting so I think you are out of luck.

If you see a lock icon, leave this setting alone. The BIOS has locked it.
My computer does not lock this setting so I can set the offset to any value I like.

Thanks for helping me! I Will try changing thermal system later. Off-set is locked at 8, i cant change it, unfortunately.
Im trying to play without TS opened and getting Bluescreen after 20 minutes~, always a different error type, like: driver state Power failure / storage data structure corruption / and many others...
Can i repair Windows without formatting again? I tried sfc /scannow and ckhdsk, nothing effective

Hello, posting here to help who have/will have the same problem of bluescreen when gaming with ThrottleStop 9.6.

SOLVED: bluescreen when gaming is gone, i formated windows 10 and installed recent basic drivers (windows update, intel gpu, nvidia experience) without AVIRA ANTIVIR, NITROSENSE (acer-exclusive software) and unplugged a generic USB HUB (i saw some bluescreens related to this thing). I still have temperature throttling but now i can play anyting without interruptions!

I will try to change thermal paste (maybe try to use a thermalpad) later to improve cooling system, thanks for the help!

Now that you have removed the crappy software that was causing the blue screens, you can work on improving your undervolt. Many 9300H are stable with the cache offset at about -125 mV and the core at -175 mV to -200 mV. This will help reduce the temperature throttling issues.

For CPU not boosting [BIOS] perform clear CMOS first
