well usually a 29" has more speed capacity over a "standard" 27.5" ... i think that's what he meant

Very briefly to avoid unnecessary discussion after suggesting PM route.

Grandpa bike signals to me a tank having little intention towards fun built in. I was merely offering some enthusiast guidance towards finding what I would consider to be mechanically sound and scale a bit further with any abilities that develop, into fun. Of the same type that makes spending a few bucks on your e-bike rewarding.

I ride 700c which is in effect 29er. The most popular now iirc though is 650b(27.5") though i think 29ers are catching up. I do cycle a lot now with a group, maybe 100-200 miles a week. I'm not sure if 29er is faster, but the larger wheels roll over obstacles better. I guess for the same gearing a 29" wheel will travel further for one wheel rotation though.

yeah bet they do, but i ride with cheap Quechua low profile (ankle) mountain grip (sole) shoes (around 8€ buy them in Spain but in Switzerland they are still cheap ... ~11chf )
