my sony headunit has android auto/ apple car play but it also has 2 usb inputs. i have a dedicated 32gb usb with all my ripped songs on it. the phone link / bluetooth sounds like shit to me honestly. And the car speakers are good enough to notice that.

So this was the real Black Friday weekend and I wanted to see what I could do.

Friday: Bought an AP201 for $90 and a B650 MB for $129
Friday later: Ordered a 8600G for $249, got delivered on Saturday
Sunday: Went to the local PC store and bought a 550 Watt PSU for $55 had a $10 credit applied as well.
Monday: Ordered a LM790 from Amazon 1TB for $93 AND A 2tb TEAM QX1 for $113.99

That is a total of $824.90. I already had the RAM and Cooler. I also have a A620I sitting around that I bought last week. That is going to get one of the next generation APUs from AMD. The prices are in Canadian dollars (It is where I live) So that would be $586 US.

Also helped build a friend a 7800X3D/AM5 PC, he upgraded from a 3600X so he will be very very happy. The purchase was not for me but I was there to help buy it, so does this count? LOL

well, 1 day earlier than planned

even at full price it would have been worth it

better thermal, cosmetic sticker for the battery (although i doubt it would be compatible with the 74/76Wh one i found and plan to order later, at least not with the RGB module), plethora of tools and accessories, compatible with the 2280 mod (bonus you can see the heatsink in the middle ) and actually looking nice.

well, when the intake is not shaped like a ROG eye the thermal are indeed better and one more USB-C port (ahah, only for charging the 370mAh battery of the module ofc

)

"little" extra, since a RPi 4/5 4gb cost 62/63chf ... why not a Okdo/Radxa Rock 4C+ for 30chf (normal price is 47.90chf ) so, i can retire my Odroid C2

bonus over the Rpi, just like the Odroid C2, it can use an eMMC module and unlike the Odroid C2 it's fully RPi 4/5 case compatible

i guess i will get a Retroflag NESPi case with the 2.5" SSD cartridge soon (tm)

Kitchen. it's damn cold outside, my kitchen has a door with direct access to the garden so it's coming inside to work on it. :laugh:

I could even set the odo to the milage that was on the stock clocks. The only thing is, i need to play with resistors in the fuel gauge line to get it accurate enough.

Also bought a PS5 shell (or cover, or whatever it's called) with RGB vents, and as you know, with RGB, my PS5 now runs like a PS5 Pro....because, well, RGB!

as you may know i bought an iPhone a while ago after being (very) sick of using Android.
now i purchased my first Mac (i've never even seen MacOS until now) and i absolutely LOVE it. This is by far the best Laptop and overall experience with a new computer i've ever had.
almost 3 full days of battery life, extremely fast, everything just works exactly as it should be and the OS is what i wish Linux would be. (not talking about the whole "Free/Libre Open Source Software" idea behind GNU/Linux)

Apple's ecosystem is a true experience. Shame that even though their M chips have gotten really powerful, gaming isn't up to par with even a standard gaming PC, much less a high-end one, or i'd have gone full Apple a long time ago.

The M4 Mac mini looks like a machine to get, even in base form.

Best decision I ever made was getting my missus a MBA M1. Even if it is only an 8/256 model, it blazes through her use (mainly web and MS Office) and never again I heard her complaining about short battery life.

Razer Wolverine V3 TE. Used it for 20 minutes and got a monster headache. 4 back buttons 2 extra triggers may have fried my brain.
Has issues with out the box stick drift apparently, but mine is fine. NO MORE CONTROL PADS NOW! Number 5 this year, but it's for my birthday which was the 3rd December, so it's fine.

Just home from Chicago with a new ASRock Z790 Taichi from the Micro Center Westmont store. My top signature rig is getting an upgrade. Moar USB, better board power and VRM cooling over the current Z790 Steel Legend WiFi. $150 less than the current Amazon price, $73 less than Newegg (and they're out of stock).

With my health issues and age I realized I won't be going duck hunting anymore (hadn't done it in 20+ years anyway) so I sold my vintage Remington shotgun and used part of the money to buy the 65" Hisense U8N 4K TV on Black Friday and the Taichi mobo today. It's better to have toys you can play with rather than them just collecting dust

Scheduled to arrive early next week. TPU did a review of the Cras C925 with max capacity of 2TB if that is at all helpful.
