What's your latest tech purchase?

I got all of the redone pieces of my office chair back this afternoon then reassembled it. Top-grade commercial use Naugahyde, all new padding with a lot firmer and more comfortable feel. The stichwork is extensive and expertly done. There are a lot of pieces used in the construction and each had to be hand crafted and sewn. The shop owner said because of the complexity he did all of the work himself.

Putting it back together wasn't nearly as easy as taking it apart because of the thicker covering and new heavier-duty padding. I couldn't have done it without the correct tools and years of past experience in modding things. It should easily outlast me.

It's reassuring to see I'm not the only one with a mess on my desk.

The other day I bought myself a chair. It's Jysk (Legend) Abildaa. The only thing I don't like so far are the hand stands (and the wheels). They should've been positioned 10cm further back. Nothing that a bit of modding won't fix. Official photos, my room is kinda under construction.

A system SSD that Windows can trash freely... My SX8200 Pro is going to the adapter and will be used exclusively for games and demanding software. Hope that the adapter works, wanted the smallest x4 there is, because GPU airflow.

And the screwdriver Fangxiang included is funny.

With good reason they are considerably more capable of exerting force that cuts instead of pinching. By which I very much mean unraveling the cable and spraying tiny pieces of sharp metal everywhere while making the finished end unusably flat.

I think it is great rebuilding stuff like this; now it is even better than new.

Ive been rolling with my current gaming build for sometime now without a rear RGB fan or led strips (infront of the PSU shroud). For cooling, the 3x2 (intake/exhaust) worked really well and less of a dust magnet but what can you do, the aesthetics kept begging the added touches.

...so purchased an extra ll120 for the rear and set to low RPM + led strips to complete the eye candy.

End result (also finally got around to giving the build a full-clean... literally every nook and cranny dust lodger blown out of the earths orbit):

lol a few years back i picked up a dozen cheapie drones from aliexpress for the kids/others. Got similar but slightly bigger sized tiny screwdrivers. Either the chinese manufacturers have a good sense of humour or these are intended for infants.

This purchase came out as a fail in the end. :laugh:

Luckily it's cheap. I forgot to check earlier, and my deshrouded 6900XT blocked the PCIe gen 2.0 x4 slot completely. The only slot available is the x1 slot, and that one kinda defeats the purpose, because it's gen 2.0, and gen 2.0 x1 is 500MB/s max... Damn. So I'm in the market for a 4TB 2.5" SATA SSD. JK. 2TB would be plenty for my needs. Good job MSI, now I regret not buying a Mortar MAX instead.

Edit: Used the SSD and the adapter for my X79 negative pressure build.
