Activision has released a new 9-minute campaign gameplay video for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, showing off what to expect when the game launches on November 10th. During the reveal, Activision also said that multiplayer gameplay will be showcased on October 5th, at Call of Duty Next event, while the beta will launch on October 6th.

As announced earlier, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is developed by Sledgehammer Games, in cooperation with Infinity Ward, while Treyarch will develop the Zombies mode. Activision also talked a bit more about the so-called Open Combat Missions, stating that "Not only do these complement the cinematic missions you've come to expect, but they also provide you with numerous additional choices regarding your methods of mission completion."

Here is the full video from the Gamescom Opening Night Live, and the trailer is below it.

Based on a quick glance at Twitch, MW2 is still playable.

MW2 came out less than a year ago so of course it is still playable.

Lol, Activision probably decided that MW2 isn't profitable enough so they release MWIII with a different monetization structure.

Look at how well the transition from Overwatch to Overwatch 2 was embraced by the players!

So basically MW3 is going to be exactly like playing MW2 with some new skins and a new way to trick young players into forking over $$$ for special colored guns and uniforms.

I don't care about SP. Just bring back the Specialist in MP with OG 2009 maps in 9v9 Ground War. Kinda weird how they called this MW3 but with MW2 maps.

I suppose. I don't play any of the CoD titles so I have no insight.

Maybe they should just charge for ammunition.

;)

Whatever they do, as long as more people play the new game than the old one, then it's a success.

For sure it's not going to get any cheaper over the long run. Activision will find their way to extract their pound of flesh from CoD players.
