Right, but i don't see how potential culling issues relates to my post.

I'm showing that i get 130+ fps in the most cpu heavy area in the game, where as that german site claims that the 7800x3d gets no more than 90 fps.

Yeah my bad, I was just talking about performance in general although they didn't test an X3D part and used shite ram from what I remember.

Also there results always seem to be sketch.

They updated it to include both 7800x3d and 5800x3d, and have dodgy results for both.

Wonder if they forgot to include a "sponsered by intel" in the headline of the "benchmark".

Just plain wrong.

Not wrong at all, lots of CPU optimization issues including force inline commands on massive functions, the engine code is awful and heavily reliant on proprietary AMD middleware

I had thought the highest octane rated gasoline was leaded -- and it's still used, in aviation.
100LL is used for general aviation planes, in the US its about 7-$8 per gallon.

The fact that leaded gas is still used in aviation is mindboggling, and just speaks to the corruption at hand when big money is involved...
Its not totally corruption, its just that there is lots of old gerneral aviation planes still flying around. I learned fly for the private and instrument add on on a c150, and Cessna 172. The c150 was 55yrs old when I flew it. Put unlead fuel in the engine, kiss that engine good bye. Cost of a new c150 engine is over $10-15k. 100LL lead aviation fuel finally being fazed out.

Yeah, not exactly how I wanted to spend 3 hours of my Friday night, trying to figure out why a new game won't run on new hardware but every other game runs perfect. So I gave up and have been playing other games and tried it again. Maybe I need to turn off Radeon chill.

I hear ya, play something better, it doesn't even look that good considering how demanding it is.

Bethesda and AMD should be ashamed of themselves.

Bethesda is at fault, if every other game runs perfect its the game.

I verified the files.

Then downloaded minecraft cause what else do you do with new hardware and 64Gb of ram?

my only question for you would be, none of my friends seem to be crashing in this game, so I think there might be an issue with your system. are you always playing less demanding games like Minecraft on your system? Maybe Starfield is the first very demanding game you have played, so you never properly tested stability. Have you played anything like God of War or Shadow of Tomb Raider benchmark, fps uncapped, ultra settings, and just let it rip? that and 3dmark time spy stress test is how i test my rig to make sure its stable, if it passes all that + 20 more random games I am happy.

Yeah 3 other buddies besides me are like 10 hours in with no crashing both nvidia and amd hardware.

Some general cpu testing in a heavy area.... Interesting.

Funny how im not cpu bottlenecked even at 1080p with 50% render res with a 4090 then with my x3d cpu...

On what do you base that claim though? If it's because the frame rate still scales, that's not it - it does for me too.

Looks like everyone who has anything less than the very latest generation super high end CPUs are getting terrible (sub-60) framerates even though the general consensus is that frame times are stable for mostly everyone. All accounts is that X3D doesn't help, if anything the result is actually worse due to the relative clock speed hit, it can't help due to the way the functions are implemented.

I was told that due to the force inline on large functions issue, the game is written in such a way that leads to the cache miss rate being extremely high, in such a scenario, there's no replacement for brute IPC - and with the king of high IPC CPUs in my PC, I can tell you that the game still suffers plenty. It is playable, of course, it couldn't not be with such insane specs, but this game will need some pretty serious patching to address performance on average to good gaming PCs. Anything socket AM4 for example, even the likes of 5800X3D and 5950X will have a rather vexing degree of trouble with a solid 60fps experience. They are not slow CPUs.

Same thing with others, gpu usage is high but GPU power is drawing much less and even half vs the GPU is capable of drawing

That's probably because it's a bogus reading. It's happened with a few games in the past. Using Special K for a global 72 fps (half refresh rate) synchronized experience, my RTX 4080's fans don't even turn on. Have heard a similar report from a friend that owns a 3090 on a Zen 2 platform (I believe he runs a 3900X), the frame rates hover between 30 and 40 for the average lows. The thing we have in common is that our GPUs are bored asleep.

The space combat in this game is complete shit!!!

I found a bug, during combat, if you get away you still cant fast travel to another location until the target is destroyed or you are.

Overall the game is starting to get, its uh. I would wait a few months to buy it. Its very stable but the combat system is complete trash, esp space combat.

I've noticed that also even when the game says 100% usage the gpu isn't consuming very much power.
