I have these ram 16Gx4 i bought on ebay for 100$ https://www.ebay.com/itm/264822356456
I want to set settings right on my asrock but i got to this:
bank and channel interleaved... I think channel interleaving gives me dual channel mode but then bank interleaving even tho is single channel it might give me doble what dual channel mode gives me? am i right or I'm all wrong? cause bank is each module and i got 4 sticks on the mobo.

Both are meant to increase ram performance. If the computer works with both enabled, go for it. I would honestly leave bank on auto since that is an option. Let the motherboard sort it out. But you do you.

i got either auto or disabled, so should i use auto for both for maximum performance off my 1333mhz - bank and chanel interleaving? by the way I was memtesting and got errors even on single core scaning.
I just set the RAM timmings from auto to manual at stock numbers hoping it won't break the scaning.

I been trying to overclock the last 5 days and was getting crashes on win10 led me to think it was my ram, I'm stll scaning at the moment with memtest 5.31b

The thing about overclocking is you need to start with a stable system. Make your changes, but if it makes your system unstable, you have to go back to the stable state and change one parameter at a time, testing for stability after each change.
Interleaving? Benchmark without it, turn it on, benchmark again. If you get better numbers and the system is still stable, keep it.

This really is a trial and error game. No advice from the Internet will help you skip some steps, because no two systems are the same.

hello, does the pc see all the 32gb? could you put a screenshot of rweverithing on spd page? Thank you

if that's how i think bank interleaving shouldn't produce any performance improvement.

Is there an app to test mem speed? I wanna compare with the interleaving values...
by the way I was trying to find the stable even at stock profiles, getting crashes and blue screens was disapointing me. Right now is scaning it's been 1 hour no errors so far, I might get a great oc if it was just a timming setting issue, will get back in 2 hours when is done.

@Don Zauser
It's 64GB totals, and the SPD yes I got the screen it's on the first post.

You can use something like AIDA64 or UserBenchmark to test your RAM. But if it's not stable, you should look into that first. They some monitoring software, see whether your DIMMs are really getting those 1.5V. Sometimes using profiles craps out, but setting the same things by hand works. If not, try increasing the voltage a bit (like 5% or so).

post rweverithing screenshot, basically it's a spd memory dump. from that you understand everything about how they are configured.
I also use aida64.

yes I know I'm trying to get stable first at stock or default values, that's what is on right now cause I went extreme on not falling.
I got it at 1.585v cuz that's what auto does but i will retest at 1.50v it seems is not gonna break now it's been 2:42hours

I'm almost excited I will get the performance i wanted for my phenom. I didn't know auto timming values will break things

They're not supposed to, but sometimes motherboards do not apply them properly.
Fwiw, your voltage seems fine, even if a bit on the high side for a default. Some mobos like to "cheat" that way, so they can appear to be more stable at tighter timings.

from code on chip "SECXXXXX" it is possible to go back to the datasheet to see what they really are. some chinese manufacturers alter information on spd chip. the ones I could examine unfortunately were 1 rank 16bank x4 1.35v 1333mhz, in practice they recycle ECC memory chips from servers. they were passed off as 2 rank 8 bank x8.
crap with bad trfc and tref.

Ive been doing testing on ram, turns out my hypertransport voltage affects my ram too as it needed more voltage to make it more cpu-nb frecuency stable i had memtest errors but not if I increased HT voltage.

I'm testing RAM one more time with memtest as I got memtest errors at min20 because my NB was at 1.3v which was alot apparently... it didn't show errors this time just 5min ago, it lasted 6hours

by the way I wanna test cpu too https://www.mersenne.org/download/ I want to download a bootable prime95 is it possible? I don't wanna ruin windows 10 with crashes

I think you're getting lost in useless things... try using only 2 16gb memories together and see if you still get errors.
